It'll slow down kills per second, which is absolutely essential to bringing ash in line with other frames in terms of killing efficiency. Armor scaling never was a problem. If anything, enemy shield scaling was, although they seemed to be getting better at buffing enemy shields judging by shield augmented sorties and the index mobs. What is a problem is that certain frames can remove millions, or even billions of EHP from enemies with the simple press of a button and at basically no energy cost, rendering the entire idea of letting players bash their heads against enemies until their weapons deal literally 0 damage and forcing them to leave moot.

Okay, old BS targets anyone in range of the ability that is aware of Ash.
New BS makes the player target by sweeping their mouse around the area to brush potential targets with a mark. Player required input is always slower than automatic targeting. It's now about Ash's damage but the frequency with which he can apply that damage, and that will take a huge dip because LoS manual targeting.

Cause they started out not giving a shit about armor and thinking no one would want to play their endless missions longer than 20 waves. Back then armor was impossible to remove and could only be completely ignored by a select few weapons and abilities. That's why the Boltor and Torid were THE endgame weapons wayback when. Then they updated some of their enemy scaling cause shit was scaling really fast after survival mode got into the game, so they tweaked some scaling curves but Scott in his infinite wisdom didn't realize that shields scale differently since they aren't affecting the enemy's base HP directly. That's why we had enemies with millions of HP and tiny shields until recently.

They don't really want it to be hard. People usually say that to boost their own ego, at least those who don't know what increasing the actual difficulty of the game would entail. And as long as DE is so ridiculously bad at bringing frame specialties a little more in line with the rest, things like stealth will continue to rot while 90% of players cheese it with invisibility frames. It would be so simple to balance the different aptitudes in invisibility without touching the individual abilities. The Grineer have animals that could sense invisible frames. The Corpus have cameras everywhere of which some could be randomly be replaced with stealth sensors.

always start with a bullet jump, then either immediately roll and double jump if I have a lot of vertical clearance or tap aimglide then roll if I want to stay low to the ground, or immediately melee and then follow up with aimgliding or the doublejump+roll if I need a lot of airtime and height, with each stack of moves terminated by air kicking for momentum boosts as needed and slide-landing, chained together and spending as little time as possible on the ground

also works in VTOL mode for maximum height, bullet jump with immediate melee straight up, aimglide at peak while you set your sights, then doublejump+roll in the direction you want to go with melee if there's time, then melee slam down

also for small corrections a lot of the time I just bullet jump into an aimglide tap and slide out of it, like at weird corners or with those horrible roots and shit in the time attack that's up right now
