You can literally buy empty buckets, fill them with water, and sell them on the ge for almost 200k gold an hour.
It is so fucking easy to make money in this game, you just need to decide how much profit for effort you want. Gambling on a 1/512 drop from barrows for instant quick cash is never going to get you anything but disappointment.

You can do everything except endgame. Non-EoC combat is basically gimping yourself at this point, even playing on auto-pilot/Revolution is better, but the problem with that is that it makes everything except bosses a complete snooze. It's a raid with limited entrance. You get two unique rolls per complete run, which includes the codex and 3 sets of tank armor. If you get good at it then you can easily accumulate Teci and just buy the codexes that way, but otherwise 12m shouldn't be too big of a hit compared to most level 85+ shit.

Scythe only skyrocketed to 270m after slight 2h buffs and all the autists fell for the hype. Prior to that, it'd been the cheapest of the nox weapons at ~130m for months on end. There are only 4 encounters I can think of where you'd want to scythe over mage.

Range is pretty shitty. Melee has zerk and mage has vulnerability. Range has a shitty ability that will kill yourself half the time you try to use it.

Questions from a shitter who just started playing again after a 3-year hiatus:
1. What's the most viable way of doing gwd solo? Assume level 70 gear and ~85 combat stats. I'd like to use Guthan's and farm the bandos general, but I'm assuming barrows gear has long-since been powercreeped out.
2. What minigames are still active? I used to do a lot of trouble brewing for The Stuff because kegs of mature ale were worth metric shittons of gold.
3. Which quests should I immediately clear to keep up? I've read about some extra abilities that aren't part of the stock set, how important is it that I have everything?
4. The fuck is this 'Inventor' shit? Should I rush 80s in those 3 skills to get into that, or is it better left for later?

I think I was grinding out summoner before I left, trying to get to 89 for Geyser Titans.

It's almost like the components that make up malev are massively farmed and far easier to obtain than mage/ranged. Also ZGS/bow are roughly the same price because they're direct downgrades to their nox counterparts in terms of range, staff is high because it's just objectively better than nox staff. Melee has by far the highest DPS of all three styles, it's just inconvenient to use at certain bosses due to the lack of range.
