Kichikuou lets you attack as much as you want until you capture a city, at which point you can't attack again that week. And yeah it splits it into separate actions for each thing you can do (attacking, talking, harem etc).

And yeah Sengoku has a lot of trial and error for avoiding some of the bad options, but the way I see it the game is based around being extremely replayable and on the lower difficulties (where you're learning what's good and bad to invest in) it's very hard to completely fuck yourself over no matter how badly you're doing.

Y'know, all the stuff I see thrown around about this makes me want to turn it into a challenge run just to verify whether or not the people who complain about it are talking shit.

I'm thinking something like the following:
5 Star, no bonuses other than Popularity Staff, Gold Statues, initial gold, and initial extra NP.
True Route
You are not allowed to use a unit for combat until it is either over 2k troops or at whatever cap is currently enforced.
No clever tricks with exploiting Initial Time Advance.
Any opportunity for "infinite time" must be exploited and exploited only for the purpose of increasing NP and troop sizes.
Just to load your troop size even more, that girl with Fan Club must be recruited as soon as she's captured.
Since you'll no doubt demolish the early game with these bonuses (which shouldn't happen in a 5SNB run), any time spent between conquering Ashikaga and turn 20 (25?) must be spent increasing troop sizes and NP.


Also, on a related note - how does a "no SAT bonuses" run sound? 5SNB True Route, obviously.

There are better options, but aside from stuff like pic related, I'd say that the best method is just to let yourself lose until they're forced to go for castles.

If repelling make them attack a castle and hope it goes well, if just surviving I like to take one of their territories and block only one of the attacks. Since it has 4 parts to the territory, they can't take it with only 3 wins
