Not really, there's plenty of newbies running around. Most player summons are high leveled chars that are downscaled to hell so they do piss damage even with the best gems. You on the other hand won't get downscaled, and Flat Arc Wheel could kill almost anyone in 1-2 dash r1s easily.

Sure, anon. The eye colour choice is definitely unique, and actually ends up working well because it creates a rosy colour palette supported by the lips and skin. The white hair looks cool, too, actually.

If you're wearing a Hunter's Hat, I wouldn't really bother much, seeing as it masks most of your face.

But, I was thinking of lighter attire, or ones that fit the general aesthetic. Your character's hair, face, and glasses are very orderly, and when paired with the Charred Hunter Garb, with its high collar and torn cape, it creates a strange visual disparity.

Maybe try something like the Black Church Set, Choir Set, White Church Set, or Maria's Set? Mix and match a bit, just go out and experiment. I just feel like your character's face and the Charred Hunter Garb don't fit together so well.

As someone who's not very experienced at PvP, what are some good tips to hand out? I initially pretty much ignored the pvp when the game first got released because I felt it was too flaily and I was being really negative towards the game in general.

Nowadays, it's contender for my favorite From game and I'd like to learn at least the basics of pvp before the online part slowly dwindles out.-

Claws are a bit tricky to use in PvP, so I don't really have much experience with them. You might have to be a little r1 spammy like in the video with them. If you're a non-Skill build, burritos help with visceral damage. Healers are pretty predictable, they usually dodge once or twice to heal and you could time it right to parry.

From what I can tell, Claws are really not optimal in PvP whatsoever. But they're really fun though, you have the really strong jump attack that tends to hit over 800 - 1000 damage (unless you only partially hit, for some reason? Each claw might have it's own hitbox?) depending on a crit or not, and the recovery time is really fast to actually keep a combo going as well.

They're no Rakuyo, or Ludwig's. But it's different and fun, you should make a character and give it a whirl. If anything, doing a 90% claw playthrough taught me much more on how to move and space myself than any other weapon.

Whoever made that is being really inefficient with the claws. Using R1 to walk forward and attack while Ebrietas turns is a much higher DPS option than using the L2 with virtually no difference in performance. Even moreso if you use the Beast's Embrace since that has the Saif-effect of moving you forward even more.

While it builds beasthood faster, it's a lot slower on the damage output. But I guess, if you're looking to build Beasthood, you're doing it right. Beast Embrace is not as bad as people make it out to be - in PvE. At least not for certain bosses. Trying to do claws in BE against Orphan is half-past impossible, it looks like a fucking moshpit.

Beast Cutter is the most satisfying weapon for me.

It's like the cane except its untricked form is actually a menacing-looking weapon and using tricked attacks gives me a commensurate amount of damage and stun for the animation time instead of just wasting a boatload of time being a flashy cunt and waving it around in the air like cane animations do.

Anything that isn't a BLT weapon or Burial Blade, Blades of Mercy is viable on STR/ARC build.

By putting Cold Abyssals and elemental gems on weapons you can make any pure Phys weapon into pure ARC (fire Whitligig is insane for beasts). And with 30 STR for the cannon you will get amazing use out of hybrid weapons like Tonitrus, HMS and the Wheel.

25 STR (or 30 in your case), 14 SKL (for Church Pick, otherwise 13) and 50+ arc is the most versitile build in the game. You can exploit every elemental and damage type weakness, use all except 6 weapons effectively and even have arcane tools to do ranged attacks.
