If there's no other rings you can think of then it's fine. Default stamina regen is 45 per second, Chloranthy adds 7-9 extra stamina depending on what tier Chloranthy you're using, shaves off about half a second with +2. Problem is that like a lot of things in 3 extra stamina regen is not that noticeable unless you stack the fuck out of it.

They suck because all most people in the game know how to do is R1 spam, at which point they become easily parriable.

If you git gud with them though, especially if you pair them with other stuff in your offhand, they become one of if not the best weapon class in the game. The sad thing is that if you use a spear most matches devolve into parry fishing, at which point you usually just pull out a shield and shieldpoke backstab punish when they think you're going to running R1 them.

This fucking fight...

Oh boy. Time for some truth. Fuck the waifufags. Fuck all the idiots. I'm going to say it: Dancer is one of the worst, if not THE worst boss fight in Dark Souls 3. Oh, on an aesthetic level, it's brilliant. The music, the sound effects, the way the boss moves, the design, etc. But gameplay mechanics wise? Holy shit, I've tried. I've tried to see it as a well designed boss fight. It isn't. It just fucking isn't.

I mean who the fuck thought it was a good idea to give the boss the ability to go from its idle, "look at my ass" position to hitting you with its swords for 1000+ health in one frame? I fucking frapsed it, at 60 FPS, it goes from idle to sword through you in one frame. There is NO fucking warning. The boss can randomly decide to ruin your attempt and there's nothing you can fucking do about it.

But that's not all. It's also impossible to tell when you have an attack window. After using one of its absurdly counter-intuitive attacks (Am I going to rear back for one second before I swing? Three seconds? 0.2 seconds? HAVE FUN ROLLING THE DICE!), the animation it uses to go back into its idle stance IS THE FUCKING SAME AS THE ANIMATION FOR AN ADDITIONAL SWING. AND IT'S TOTALLY RANDOM WHETHER SHE SWINGS AGAIN OR NOT.

So you're left picking to either take your chance to land one swing and get your lungs torn out because she decided to swing again, or rolling preemptively (since there is no fucking way to tell whether she's about to swing or go back into idle stance) and losing your window of opportunity, because she just fucking LOVES only giving you enough time to land one swing before attacking again.

Tthis boss was clearly designed with multiplayer in mind. Trying to wrap my head around what was wrong with the guy who designed this, all I can think of is that they EXPECTED people to always go in there with two phantoms to help distract the boss. This fucking fight was never designed to be solo'd. Soloing it is a crapshoot at best.

Using the same stuff they do does not equal being as good as they are, having as much experience, etc.

I mean I had fun today because I started Arena duels for the first time and spend the day trying to figure out how to counter everything and get to gold rank (which I did). I started with Havel's GS + Swordspear and ended up with GF Spear with offhand BK Shield (useful in general but used mostly to backstab punish parry fishers, and trust me nearly everyone unzips their caestus when they see a spear, it becomes so easy after awhile to run at them with guard up, giving them no good options), Arbalest (pyros/whips were kicking my ass), and Estoc (curved swords/bleed spam counters turtling).

I got to Gold with that and stopped, idk if I'll keep doing Arena duels now that I got it. On the one hand because atm it seems like you don't get anything better, but also because I just destroyed literally everything after finishing this build. I even have 18 points in faith which are wasted stats and it doesn't even matter, I have the potential to counter literally everything with that, in the right hands.

Too many people I run into are literally using a single weapon and that's it, it's too easy even if it's a carthus curved sword (spear/estoc dual wield fucking destroys that shit). I don't want to lose my Gold either so I figure I'll probably use meme weapons like the Drang weapons in brawls or pontiff duals, or more likely go back to focusing on invasions.

You can't say follower sabre because it's literally just CCS that trades some AR, bleed, and I believe range for a much better WA. 2scythe is a meme, valorheart is a meme, javelin is a meme (my favorite meme to be fair), run-and-bully axe is a meme... it's mostly a bunch of meme weapons.

Aux effects scale terribly in pretty much any scenario, so go nuts. When rouged they can bleed in 2 L1s.

Kalameet was optional content and we know from Gwyndolin being alive long enough for Aldrich to eat him that the canon Chosen Undead was not a completionist. There's precedent that would support the black dragon coming back.

Yup. Basic STR build is enough DEX to use the weapons you want, enough VIT to hit the poise breakpoints for your main weapons, 40STR and END then the rest in VIG which will probably be anywhere from 40-50 depending on DEX requirements and how much poise you want/need.

I hate that weapon simply because it has retarded phantom range on the anime breakdance. I can't count the number of times I've spaced it perfectly to hit them between swings and yet been hit by their sword extending a good 10 feet beyond where it should be.

I consistently kill Dancer with no trouble at all, my playstyle is just a natural counter for her. I assume your playstyle is just naturally bad against her for whatever reason.

The biggest problem with Dancer is that she is like that, her fight feels different in some way to most Souls bosses and if you have adapted to the typical boss fights, she can be troubling to play against because she doesn't necessarily fit with what you're expecting to play against.

Jesus Christ, I am so salty.

Right now I'm only playing this DaS3 and SFV. When I get salty in one, I move to the other, which has been working alright so far.

But I just beat Pontiff, after a couple tries. I had just gotten the game last Saturday, and been playing through blind, so I have a feeling I'm missing a lot of weapons/items and stuff. But Christ, Pontiff was okay, but the NPC invader after just got me so salty. I would roll my way up to her, and as soon as I slashed, she would roll out the way. And this repeated forever until I eventually got too agressive and got hit by too many arrows or aggro'd the other NPC human enemies.

Managed to hit her a couple times, and she has barely any health. But in the end, died to her and quit out.

I'm debating just starting over and using the guide with a new build.
