I slightly came from HS only because it was first and seemed interesting.

Shadowverse is much more fun and skillful in a sense. Winning feels good not cause you managed to luck out on a couple knife juggles. Losing however feels just as bad since you can't really blame anyone else for your loss aside from your opponent having effing BS cards in low rank I mean seriously who netdecks in D or C luck of the draw and misplays.

Classes are much more distinct, much more fun, all of them have broken archetypes in some way but they all keep each other in check which is nice. The game is more approachable and more F2P friendly due to the massive amount of packs (I think you get 41 for starting right now?) and apolopacks. Pic related can describe the game quite well, ironicall enough

Speaking of apolopacks, I got an animated olivia too. Wondering if just one is enough so I can keep the animated and dust the other olivia if im not gonna play control sword any time soon.

They balanced going second around the stats they got from back when everyone played midrange/aggro trash where everyone ran the neutral goblin 1 drop. Now that they released an evo focused expansion, evo orbs are worth a lot more. Even reverting the second player buff (extra card) won't fix this, they need to give both players 3 orbs.

There's still some matchups where I prefer going first with an aggro deck even if second is better in general.

Going first was better in this game too before they changed that you draw an additional card in the first turn when going second.
I wonder how it would work out if both players drew two cards in turn 1, that would give the second player more cards to deal with an early curve and would make going first stronger again.

Hmmmm. Use more Dragon Warriors. They're pretty much your best 4-drop. Get 3 Dragon Oracles as well, since they should be basic cards. If you have goblin mount demons, use them. They're way better than Angelic Sword Maiden when you're behind, which is pretty much when you want to play Angelic Sword Maiden.

Anything is good enough to start with. You're not gonna be building a full midrange/control deck, unless you liquefy every other card you're not using in the deck. Just play a cheap deck and build up your collection, or go balls deep and reroll for 1 class, and liquefy everything else.
