I like how most of the post-suicide announcement SNS you get start off with the other person going all "are you okay?!" and then there's Yoshida who straight-up didn't buy into that claim. The word he uses for "comrade" could be read as "kindred soul" too, by the way.

Not enough time to do a full translation for these scenes right now, but I figured these at least warrant summaries.

As you go through Shidou's palace, you have to get letters of introduction from certain elite guests on the ship. These all turn out to be people related to the behind-the-scenes conspiracy, with the first one being an influential politician.

When Makoto talks to him, he eventually reveals that in exchange for pledging allegiance to Shidou, they're rewarded with an offer to request someone's shellification. This guy requested that the driver of the train that got into an accident in spring (shown in an anime cutscene back then) should be targeted, in order to deal with the current minister of diplomatic relations as well as the the director of the current governing party.

There's only a pretty small window after Goro's boss fight where you can hold off on sending the notice, since it's at the very end of the dungeon but before sending the notice. They probably just forgot to add an extra flag for changing the deadline game over if you're past that point.

Because things are different from the past, this guy's been having financial troubles, since it's hard to earn money just off of your parentage. In exchange for introducing him to other trustworthy ex-nobles, Shidou let him request a target for shellification too. He doesn't say who his target was, but he explains that Shidou's extremely careful about picking his guests/clients, which Makoto interprets as him screening for which people would earn him an advantage but not betray him.

The third guest's the TV station's director. Haru deals with him, and he mostly sums up the situation with her father (and that he was used to set up the PT), says he could've lived if he'd just obediently kept quiet, brags about the fact his station broadcast the moment of his shellification and how the views were ultra-high because of that. When Haru tells him to stop speaking of someone's parent's death that way, he just affirms that that's his business and mockingly offers to do a documentary about her surmounting her father's death and revitalizing the family company while noting that since she's cute, it'd probably lead to a lot of views.

The more interesting part is after dealing with him. Since he's part of the media, Haru tells the director to tell them what he knows, and he brings up Kaneshiro. Apparently, Kaneshiro brought the money he gathered to Shidou. Both he and Madarame provided Shidou with financial support as kickback, in Madarame's case through his forgery business. So on top of offering shellification requests for people supporting him, Shidou backed Madarame and Kaneshiro in exchange for financial aid too.

It's on 10/11 after the broadcast for Okumura's death, and she suspects Goro of having stolen data from her laptop because it happened the same day they got into a bit of an argument. He gets pretty upset about the accusation, both because she suspects him just for getting into an argument with him the same day, and because he pretty much takes her implying that a detective like him would get his information by stealing it as an attack on his pride.

He brings it up indirectly on 10/24 at Leblanc when Soujirou asks him how Sae's doing, by mentioning she hasn't been meeting with him lately and that her opinion of him seems different (with the sad portrait).

He also acts a bit dejected during one of the earlier Leblanc visits when he mentions that Sae scolded him and told him to watch what he says (this is around the time he's under fire for being against the PT, while they're at the height of their popularity).

The game never says outright he's dead even when they do say the principal/okumura is. On the justice co-op rank 10 it just says he "used his life to save the PT and disappeared beyond the wall", take from it what you will.

On another note, the PT actually do mention it's weird nobody talks about Goro anymore, but it's all chalked up to the distortion of the masses and how nobody seems to remember the PT either after Shidou's election. When I checked on 12/22 the two okama in Shinjuku still does mention Goro, saying PT was a rival of his. It seems like those two okama are the only people who actually remember PT and Goro, apart from the co-ops. In a way Goro's disappearance from the game IS addressed, albeit very briefly.

The fourth one's an IT company's president. Futaba fields this one, and she eventually releas she's the original Medjed and proving it by revealing that she hacked the Medjed site back after her dungeon... which the IT guy recognizes as the site HIS company prepared that time.

Turns out his company was behind the fake Medjed group that declared war on the PT during summer and manipulated the rankings for who should be reformed next. They didn't have a particular reason for taking the "Medjed" alias specifically for that, they just needed a known name and that one happened to be convenient since the PT can't go after an anonymous group. When "Medjed" got taken down despite the sockpuppeting, both he and Goro were surprised, but things ultimately still worked out as planned since it led to the PT's premature joy at hitting the height of their popularity (allowing for the later setup with Okumura). He gloats about how thrilling it is to make use of the internet like that, but when he asks if Futaba enjoys manipulating the information illiterate as he does since she's Medjed too, she just counters by calling his skill and his general self third-rate and tells him not to group her with him because she's actually trying to reform the world with the PT.

After dealing with him, Futaba asks what other evil things he's done aside from the fake Medjed thing. He answers that they've investigated cognitive studies (what Wakaba was working on), and that once they'd extracted all of their findings, they had everything public deleted, encrypted what they had, and stored it as top secret data in a domain inaccessible to the general public. He affirms that he at least doesn't know anything about the shellification stuff. So this guy probably didn't get a request (at least as far as we know), but he WAS responsible for the Medjed incident in summer and by extension ensuring Okumura would be the next reformation target.

It's mostly just for the sake that they were too lazy to make real Goro a party member for one fight with a new attitude and Persona and costume, but the story as it is can't work as it does if Goro is still around once Shido goes down, since it's important that Goro lose the game and be gone for Ialdaboth to make his move and also so Joker has to go to jail to get Shido convincted so they can show the system isn't totally useless and corrupt when it actually works and Joker is realized quickly and has his earlier charges dropped.

The vent leading to the room with the Ongyo-ki miniboss is still accessible, but you can't get anywhere with it (two paths are blocked off, and you can't even jump down in that room anymore after beating the miniboss).
