I'm playing Skyrim Special edition on PS4 and am using a monitor, not a tv. For some reason the video isn't scaling right and pat of my screen on either direction is cut off. My monitor's option for video scaling is grayed out and unselectable, the default game doesn't have any sort of video scaling, and the PS4's video scaling option does not effect the game.

Does anyone have a work around for this?

Who you choose has zero effect on if you want to later join the opposite faction, where you'll then see Ralof/Hadvar throughout.

Furthermore, you can change your mind even once the questline has started and you've already re-met one of them at Korvanjund, by giving the Jagged Crown to the opposite faction.

Skyrim Special Edition is pretty much unplayable right now. I can play it for about 5 minutes and then the damn thing crashes and I have to load it up again. I just got Battlefield 1 today too, and it's been crashy as well.

My regular modded Skyrim has been somewhat crashy for a while now but I assumed it was because I have over 100 mods installed. It's not as bad as Special Edition though, because I can at least play it for about 20-30 minutes without a crash.

My system isn't the newest but for the time I built it it was very powerful, and the CPU still packs a punch with the overclocking I have on it. My gut tells me the video card might have something to do with this all, because the driver was causing Windows to crash about once a day a while back. I'm about due for a GPU upgrade but I really hope this gets patched. I'm not about to go buy a GTX 1080 just to play Skyrim again, especially since a new GPU might not even fix the problem.

Most people have no problems with it. It's very doubtful that it will get patched in such a way that will benefit you.

You're better off using normal Skyrim with proper optimization since you can customize enb and choose to use SKSE or Crash Fixes as you see fit.

Skyrim SE has a lot of the bottlenecks from Skyrim removed. It runs in 64bit mode, supports DX11 and it can take advantage of a considerably larger amount of RAM than the original version.

You're not going to see 100% of mods getting ported over but I wouldn't be at all surprised if we saw SE versions of most if not all of the popular ones, and modders are definitely going to want to take advantage of the new engine enhancements going forward.

The only problem is that there are still a lot of annoying game-breaking stability related bugs that are giving people grief right now, but the game only just launched so I'd say give it a few weeks.

Resplendant armor set is my all time favorite armor from the nexus.

I use the abyssal version, cause the robes flap around wildly for me with the regular one, but I love the artorias-esque feel of the set.

I tried uninstalling the unofficial patch and it looked good for a while, but then when I got closer to Whiterun it crashed again. I have no idea if the unofficial patch was contributing to the problem or not, but from the looks of things the problem is definitely with the game itself, not any mods that I have installed.

Oh well. The crashing problem is apparently pretty widespread if a quick Google search is any indicator, so hopefully Bethesda patches it soon. Even the console people are apparently getting crashes.

Jaxonz positioner can be really useful for moving people post-pose. I usually disable collision and then use Jaxonz to move myself or an NPC. If you do that though, be sure to do tfc 1, cause normal tfc will cause your character to enable collision.

Are you positioning things manually with getpos and setpos? Maybe try Jaxonz positioner but its not as precise. I have it installed but almost always just fall back on doing it with commands.

Have you finished the mainquest? It isn't required but the questlines assume that you have. Once you finish the main quest you should be the proper level unless you rushed it.

Buying training is fine. It's fairly cheap. You'll eventually be rich and there's no high priced items to spend it all on anyway.

Unlikely I think. Since they now have mods for PC and Console(with it being as limited as it will be) I think the modders will pretty much do the jobs for them. I do expect some patches though, like maybe a patch to increase memory use on consoles or any new terrible glitches that arose from making the remastered.

The way you activate mods is a bit different now though, in the game at the main menu, you can go to mods, then load order, and you can set the load order there, but to activate the mod you still need to click on it so it gets that little checkmark saying it's activated.

I don't think that will change anything. In original Skyrim, them being in the data folder was enough when launching to have them activated, but there was a load order thing where you could deactivate certain ones from running when the game launched.

In this one, it doesn't matter what's in the data folder, you have to activate it manually from the main game menu.

MO would still have the whole load order and virtual folder thing going on to keep skyrims data folder clean, but I doubt it'll change the new activation method.

Every time I played Espur, I'd tweak her a bit. Plus some of the assets she used were shit and I had to update her to work with better assets.

I really should just make her a follower and drop her though. If you can make a follower in base Skyrim that works in SE, maybe I'll do that. I don't feel like bringing her over to SE though. eh maybe i should, it probably actually works now. so used to beingfullscreen since it was the only way to tab out and back in in normal skyrim, except half the time it would still break.
