Honestly, I feel a large proportion of supports cheese their way up to gold.
Playing my smurf adc account I have bumped into some of the worst mechanical play imaginable, and their macro is not good enough to compensate for it.
Seems even more of a luck shitshoot than the other lanes, have bumped into amazing supports in silver, and terrible ones in gold/plat.

I need your help lolg, it's proven very useful in the past its gotten me from bronze5 to silver.

Lately in my games i've been doing a fairly good job as vi getting my team fed and controlling dragons. However when it comes to late game, alot of the time my team either doesn't want to group, and just keep farming OR they will get caught ALOT. For instance: i got my vayne fed 18/5 but she would ALWAYS get caught, for instance we're all running to contest dragon but vayne decides to wait for us AT river while their whole team is there and we're running from base. She gets caught and dies. I tell her to wait back a little further next time and she rages out. In that same game riven would engage super early when no ones in position.

what do I do in these scenarios? How do I improve my lategame?

For the longest time League below high gold has been about "which retard gets caught out first late game". If spam pinging or babysitting them doesn't work, then try to catch out one of them first or split push effectively. I'm gonna assume you know how split pushing works, it's too much information to write out at once.

Top is not a bad lane. I have 3 gold accounts and 2 plat accounts all with less than 100 games, and I play top exclusively. I was D5 during season 4.

Learn Irelia if you want to climb. She's an excellent laner and enables you to roam, survive, or snowball depending on the situation. She has incredible scaling with CDR and Triforce and has very few bad matchups.

Malphite is my go-to tank. Yes he's braindead but I have a 70% win rate with him in plat. He also scales like a monster, plus there are some great masteries/runes for tanks. Your E destroys auto attackers and your W does a shit ton of damage. Try not to use your ultimate recklessly, use it when you think it will have a lot of impact. Sometimes hitting just one ADC is better than hitting the other 4.

I played a lot of GP before but I think he's very weak in lane. He's still pretty good if you can pick him into a safe lane but I think he's too mechanical for bronze-silver, sorry.

Also Kennen and Rumble are basically OP right now if you want to resort to that kinda thing.

For jungle, there are a ton of great champs you can carry with. Vi is always good, maybe you should play Nunu and Kha'zix while you still can.

If you want any tips for individual champs I can give you some but you probably don't need it.
