Because they're there to tell you at a glance that someone isn't the base class. Guardians are arrowheads because they got a bow and Dragonhunter, their elite spec, is about being a dickass monsterhunter with bows and traps. Rangers are a moon because the Druid gave them "celestial avatar", a sort of pseudo-deathshroud that gives them huge heals they can spread around. Engineers have a hammer icon as the Scrapper because that spec gave them a literal hammer.

It really, really isn't hard if you know anything about the class and that's why the icon is there - so you know they're not a base guardian, druid, or engineer and that's why one asshole has a spirit bow, the other one just turned into stars, and the last guy is followed by a fleet of gyrocopters.

Returning player here, logged in to see some weird fuckery going on with my game. I formatted and it was on my D drive but I thougth it would be fine.
This place looks really weird and completely blinding, as if the lighting decided to fuck off. Even inside the jumping puzzle is full of weird light. Also, my elementalist and engi animations look like utter shit. Fireball, orbital strike and every sort of flame or field looks like it came out of a cheap korean MMO.

Orbitol strike and fireball were visually nerfed "for clarity", I think turning off the effect LOD turns it off a bit, at least for the latter.

If you do AB properly, you can easily make 30-40g per 1 meta (that is 60-80 grand chests), which is 10-15 mins for gates and then 20 mins running and looting grand chests. That is ~40-45 mins of game time including meta, looting, salvaging, vendoring and posting on TP. Depending on how many hours you play each day, you can do this 2-3 times and make 100g a day. And you don't have to stay in game for 6 hours straight to get into 3 metas, because it happens every 2hrs and you have at least 1 hour between each event to do your other things.

And what is 100g a day? That is either any store outfit in 2 days (or whatever you like: bag slots, bank slots, character slots etc etc) OR any ascended gear piece craft with all mats purchased straight from TP, which is 6/6 ascended in 6 days just from TP (assuming you've spent few hours in SW to farm account bound mats from bandit chest trains).

Nobody is making you to grind it over and over every single day. You need some gold - you adjust your activities in game, make how much you need and finish, come back later when you do need gold again.

Yeah, there are some weird people who are only doing AB for 12 hours a day like you said. I know one of those guys. He already have all the gear, he even has the legendaries he want and he keep farming AB. Idk, probably selling gold or just extreme autism level.
