I expect that's precisely what they'll do by next ranked season. EW 2 will probably get nerfed down to something close to default speed and effectiveness (like Trapper minus traps), and EW 3 will have the duration and lunge toned down so that you're forced to use it on single targets at the right moment. This is pretty much what they did to Nurse with the slower speed and pathetic lunge: boxed her up as a twitch-blink skillshotter.

I don't think they'll actually buff EW1, though. Rather, they'll nerf the second two stages to force killers to make the best of the first.

The past nerfs have left me pretty cynical, but I do have one hope for Michael Meyers: the devs seem very proud of having him in the game, and have actually done a great job of making him play like Michael Meyers should. Deerstalker is not viable for that anymore. It takes 30 seconds for someone to be ready to heal with a simple tap, you are not downing 4 people like that.

As for Agitation, well, if they don't have Iron Grasp who is to say they have Agitation? Or Deerstalker for that matter? My Myers is level 24. I have Agitation 1, which is worthless, and haven't seen Iron Grasp or Deerstalker. Needing any perk to function is garbage design.

Yeah, all the DLC does is let you play as Michael and Laurie. You can even eventually get their teachable perks on other killers through the new Shrine of Secrets store without buying the DLC. Would take a while though, as only 4 perks are available each week.

How do you guys deal with this game?

I get inconsistency in my games because of all the lag. I'm skipping frames and I can't cut corners to escape the killer because of this. I'm so frustrated because I like this game, but it runs like shit. If Friday the 13th game gets dedicated serves instead of this player to player bullshit connection, I'm dropping Dead by Daylight's infant ass on the ground like an egg on the sidewalk.

I really like how the Michael Myers musical cues work. I don't know if you need to be looking at him to trigger it, but I was working on a generator in a barely-walled area on Ironworks and heard some heavy breathing, so I turned my camera and saw Michael staring at me from the window, a few metres away. Then suddenly the "being watched" music from the movie starts. I wish the other killers had cool stuff like that.

so ive been playing michael, and the stalking mechanic is fucked, i have no idea how to trigger it or how it works, every game ive played trying to even get to level 2 of evil within i just waste all my time staring at people while stalking, and yet still not building any meter and then getting memed on.

so instead, i use the scratched mirror ever game with the boyfriend momento. that scratched mirror addon is the single best addon in the game, it eliminates the need for half the killer perks in the game, its like having the wraith's ultra rare addon that shows aura, but 3x as good, and you can get aura reading in half a second instead of having to cloak and decloak.

since you are in level 1 the entire game you just walk up to niggas and stab them, i run iron grip (of course), unrelenting, save the best for last, and now ive been using NOED too.

unrelenting and save the best for last cuts the CD for missed and successful hits in half, letting you run at full speed twice as fast to catch back up to surviviors. the reason i stated using NOED is because of the obvious effects after gates go up, but also the speed boost really helps when they are going for the gate.

the only time ive lost a single game using this build is where one person was able to hatch camp while the third guy was dying, even then i got a hit on him before he jumped in the "cancer hatch of free wins for no reason."

the only real weakness to michael playing this way is if the survivior say fuck their friends and just gen rush while one or two of their teammates die on hooks.

All 3 killer perks are equally good, they just have different purposes. Agitation is for fighting hook sabo's and saving you time traveling to hooks, enduring helps you fight pallet warriors, stridor for finding people. Would consider getting the one for the killer you aren't leveling.

What exactly is the "flaw" of Myers?

Trapper can have his traps sabotaged, and has to direct the survivor into his trap (while Small Game exist) or get a random capture.

Hillbilly has to rev his saw, lacks mobility (without add-ons) during charge, and can bump into terrain which wastes time.

Wraith is Wraith.

I dunno what's the flaw of Nurse cause I still think she's a fundamentally strong character despite nerfs, but I guess she does suck at patrolling and can lose people due to mis-blinks.

But what exactly is the downside to playing Myers...Wasting time building meter? I just don't get why you wouldn't play him at this point.

I get that mechanically they're trying to encourage stalking and the mental fear of accurately seeing Myers just look at you, but the fact that he can look through a crack in the tree and build up meter while you're on a generator is kind of bullshit. Motherfuckers play him like a sniper, it's obnoxious.

He's very easy to hide from unless he's using one of the mirror addons, in which case he's restricted to operating in one of his modes.

He has nothing that allows him to cover map distance quickly, unless the obsession feeds him PWYF.

If you're good at stealth, he doesn't have much to work with. The biggest problem survivors have with him right now is that the behavior of your teammates can fuck you over if they feed him evil and lead him to you.

At some point, i started to think about Trapper just like i think about Wraith.
Billy sucks when he actually has to use his hammer. Also even with the chainsaw he could always use Brutal Stregth. And there are those weird places where he can't charge, those fucking "misses" in front of surviviors faces.
Slow movement of Nurse sucks, but for me it's the screen darkening that seals the deal. During the stun? It's fine. But darkening while blinking, or inbetween blinks? Shit sucks. Makes it hard to aim second blink.
Myers can lose a lot of time building power but there's more to that. You don't always need one-hit, but you need it to be ready, incase someone goes to the time consuming area. If you activate tier 3, there's no going back. You have to use it. If you down someone and hook him, you're kinda waisting the power, if you down someone and go for someone else, first guy gonna be healed before you down the second, meaning - you're waisting the power. Yes, you pull surviviors from the gens that way, but the Evil is finite, while surviviors can escape hook 2 times, be downed as much as they want, run around for minutes. The power can really be wasted. After all that, you must charge the power again. Extra speed is nice, but i think even wraith has more map mobility. Just as folks around here predicted, Myers is wasting a lot of time. Perks can help but they won't cover everything.

The prblem is in pacing. It takes so much more time to make 1 high level killer with tier 3 perks than 4 survivors. Regular games were pretty good geared survivors vs whatever geared killers. Sometimesyou meet high level killer that have an advantage on you.
Now the balance issues that were not so obvious and problematic due to grind are obvious - fully leveled killer outperforms 4 fully leveled survivors(without imba equipment).

The only time CE becomes a problem is if someone uses it to get infinite items/addons/offerings. It still wouldn't be cheating though, as those items can be obtained legitimately. However, it would be a problem if everyone started doing that and had Moris every game. But that's still more a problem with the game. Rarity is a terrible way to balance a game because it gives advantage to people with more luck rather than skill.

Grind solved the problem that came with assymetric gameplay. To make a match you need 4 survivors and 1 killer. They grind faster and get better\more loot. So the games are relatively full, coz survivors teams have grind advantage. But when you take that away - everything falls apart.
Game kept a distance between two sides with grind - it's gone now.

The problem with the steroid analogy is that athletics are inherently unequal. Some people simply cannot reach the level of others regardless of how much effort they put in. Video games are meant to be primarily about skill. In that sense everyone should be on an equal playing field. Which is why such upgrade mechanics are terrible. I know you agree with that.

The issue is that I was thinking of cheating in a competitive sense, which I still don't think applies here. In a sense that it's avoiding something undesirably/taking a shortcut, yes, that would make it cheating.

However this was also an argument about morals which is why I was justifying things. You were the one who brought up moral integrity after all (presumably). I was simply trying to explain my morals on the subject. I don't see skipping the grind in a video game as immoral and have trouble understanding why someone would.

Not only it took over 5 minutes to find a match, these past two games one fuck didn't load and on the last one a fuck quit right away, the remaining two survivors were playing hide and week and I only caught one, other kept hiding and ignoring gens, like fuck you i'm not gonna look all over the map to find your retard ass.
