Good question, corsair3 seems to have the short end of the stick there. Lancer is 2h sword locked and I don't even know if half your skills work whilst mounted (hook does). Murmillo also has this weapon incompatibility on some skills that require shield usage. Scutum wouldn't be as good without rode debuffs, but you'll have Headbutt's att to compensate a bit for that.

There's also the option of stopping at corsair2 and going dragoon2.

I don't consider QS to be strong at all, you still lose to other DPS classes because there are no attributes % to increase auto attack damage while others do and even if you went DEX you'd just be doing small criticals constantly even if you made your weapon +10 with 100% transcend because you'll be using a Saalus weapon while others have their 315 weapons already

QS is cheaper in that regard because you only have to worry about weapon upgrading while others have to spread attributes in 4 or 5 skills to get them to 50% then 70% and finally 90%

Honestly, no. Pay to win is buying an item you can ONLY get with real money (or from people who paid real money) that's stronger than in game items.

A good example is on old Mabinogi how you could pay to be able to do the story lines, which enabled you to transform into a super-powered form and use special super weapons. On a game that was so difficult a normal newbie enemies could fuck you up if you weren't gud, it was basically an "I'm invincible and win for a few minutes" button.

Here, you're just getting 1 mat for a weapon you have to get too, get the rest of the stuff for, and have no use for anyway because you'll be at r9 before you can equip it.

Once Agni necklace is added, Pyromancer is the most viable DPS wizard class in the game.

Pyro 3 into Linker then into Sage or Enchanter is insane.
Necklace gives 400% damage to fireballs and 250% to flame ground and fire pillar. Linker is obligatory for the huge damage bonus linked shit gets. Sage is amazing for duplicating fireballs, Enchanter is amazing for the 500 damage they add to every hit (which becomes 2000 to fireballs and 1250 to flame ground and fire pillar).
Thaumaturge is also nice to take for the bonus damage which again gets massively amplified.

With decent gear and attributes, you can be dropping fireballs that are doing 200k damage each. You sword shitheads might not think this is much, but this is the best a Wizard can do. Especially when it's 2 every 16 seconds.

Look up builds. You can fuck up your build easily.

Don't expect to be insanely geared by just running dungeons or leveling up. Most damage in this game comes from using silver and sinking millions into your stuff.

If you roll support character who doesn't need major investments into gear and attributes, don't expect to solo anything ever.

Explore maps, do most quests and always do your dungeon runs.

Save up for a token. It should be your first major purchase.

Most guilds have a few people who are the theorycrafters or have played every class under the sun, find them and pick their brain.

You should roll some variant of dps for your first character so you can solo farm the 145/130 for silver, preferably a scout 3 or quarrel shooter 3. Once you have enough silver buy a token right away. Once you can comfortably run those dungeons you can then focus on the character you want to play or simply continue with your archer. Not mandatory to do this but it helps a ton.

If the amount of silver goes up, they are getting away with it more. Have you seen the silver prices go up recently? If they are selling less silver per dollar that means they are being countered.

IMC is shitty no questions there, but you can't expect them to entirely root out bots. They are a constant, in every MMO. Naive little shits.
