Do you find the controls really fucked with a controller? It's like you run directly ahead like a train and can't turn left or right until the analogue moves really far to the left or right, and then you veer off at a greater angle than you intended.

Is it because they reconfigured it for WASD and so it only has 8 way movement like a SNES game? Or just weird deadzones? It doesn't work like that in 1 or 3 on PC. I also don't remember Xbox DaS2 being like that.

Holy fuck this RUINS the fight.
She only targets one player at a time and her AI blatantly ignores anyone else. You can BS her out of everything she does and stunlock her to death because she's way too easy to stagger with multiple people. The fight;s over in seconds and ends every time with her being driven against a while by constant stagger and stunlocked to death.

Who thought this garbage was a good idea? You can't even enjoy co-oping the DLC boss after killing it yourself because it turns into a total sandbag.

I've looked at both. To poise through even a hammer with an UGS I have to switch pants and gloves to Havel, AND wear Wolf+2.
Fashion looks like dogshit for one, but I also am not fond of having to run through the game another two times just to get the right ring.

Co-op ruins any fight. Like O&S, you just separate them, each player gets each boss, and you trivialize it because their movesets are made to compliment each other, not fight alone.

It's the longest UGS and it's one oif the few weapons in the game that genuinely benefits from 66str, which leaves it with higher AR than 40/40 quality UGS for fewer levels.

The problems are that its weight is ridiculously high and its stamina cost is ridiculously high. Now that poise matters and heavy armour is mandated, FUGS' weight is crippling and its stamina costs will always limit it compared to other ultras. The only real value to it is that it's the longest UGS by a fair margin and so is advantaged in ultra vs ultra fights where poise basically doesn't exist.

I just realized that Vilhelm's dialogue to the player just before facing him in battle is Miyazaki talking directly to us about our search for answers about all the das1 characters and aldia.

Invading on the branches going down is the most fun I've had out of all three souls.

There is NOTHING more satisfying than purposefully missing an explosive arrow, the host clapping at your miss, then the arrow exploding behind them and knocking them to their death.

Because ultras need literally zero poise to still tank everything lighter than a hammer, but now also have the option to crank it and tank stuff they never could before. The only class that actually got nerfed by it is glaives, which really didn't need HA in the first place.
Not to mention the free 80% thing making HA so much more reliable.

This new scythe is almost as fun as the holy moonlight sword.

The biggest complaints with faith are that they have no spammable pressure spell to help set up for their big, FP burning nukes, and that they're shoehorned into 60fth because all of their offensive spells are just straightforward damage nukes and all of them need max faith to do any damage.

With that in mind, I can appreciate the design of Corona:
It's a low fth, low cost, low recovery and low risk spammable ranged spell. It does no damage, so there's no reason to invest heavily in faith to give it damage, but instead it stays active for a long time and comes back for a second hit after a delay while also being spammable. That means that, unlike the damage nukes, it has a utility purpose in being a tool to stagger your opponent and set them up for a proper damage spell or a melee followup. It's obvious that this was their intention with the spell: make it do bad damage so that building damage isn't important, and allow its other properties to make it useful without needing to deal damage.

Where they fucked up, and where it's obvious that much of the DLC was a rushed, low-effort hackjob, is in the fact that it uses the lowest stagger value in the game, and staggers for so little time that following it up is literally impossible.

For reference, its stagger time is the same as the 2nd of the 3 melee-ranged hits on the whip WA.

Literally worse than useless, and a dead giveaway that the spell was rushed out just to fill a bare minimum quota.

Also FUGS should have gotten greathammer poise values instead of UGS ones. As it is, the weight makes it impossible to stack enough poise to match greatswords and FUGS is simply too expensive stamina-wise to play around fast things that can interrupt it.
