I honestly think it's the best in the series. It merges black comedy with actual horror pretty well.

Night 4 should be removed, though. The game goes up by two points if you skip it.

Otherwise, I agree. Freddy's the best he's been since FNAF 1, and so is Foxy.

The story itself is bizarre, but in that avant garde style that some writefaggotry falls into where it's just so insane and you can't dislike it for that. The situation of the finale where you're an adult listening to his dead child being put on the phone or imitated by a shambling abomination made from wires is pretty good.

Real talk, the fucking breaker room is arguably my favorite part in any FNAF game in the entire series. It actually nails the "uncanny valley" appeal of the animatronics better than almost anything else. Dark room, flickering light, great atmosphere, well-integrated movement (using the blackouts instead of static-cuts to let Fred move around), and christ, that VOICE. I know it's goofy and exaggerated but THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT. It genuinely sounds like an animatronic performer's voice would, and in the context it becomes really fucking unnerving. The stuttering and echoing really exacerbates it, too. Easily the tensest and spookiest part of the whole game for me, and if not the best part of the series definitely top five.

Okay.
The premise is strange, but I don't hate it; if anything, it's charmingly absurd. That said, the writing itself is stiff and works against why your trying to set up. Everything is explained so uniformly and efficiently, even redundantly at times; it sorta feels like you're overcompensating for how confusing and hard to follow a lot of your previous stories have been by being up front to the point where it feels uninteresting. A little panache doesn't hurt; just keep it in moderation.
The length is also an issue. While brevity is important -especially in fanfiction like this- what you're telling here is literally one half of a scene. Some guys laid a robot down on a table, and Spring started cutting it open. That's not a chapter, that's two actions in a larger story with no real theme or significance of their own. Each chapter in a series should either build off of, or toward, something.

What/where are those? Is it a DLC thing?

I liked the shift in "voice" between 35 and 36. The voice I read Tape 35 in was replaced by a remarkably more sinister one, as things get weirder. I think the build-up to this radical change is well executed, and if you apply this to a larger story, it could make for a hell of a ride.

You know those wacky animatronics get a little finicky around isolated people. She just stepped a little too close to the ice cream mechanism, that's all. Accidents like that happen all the time.

So I was playing the Five Nights at Candy's 3 demo and I noticed a couple things.

In the loading screen, you get a shot of what seems to be the playing shining the flashlight, but the brightness of the flashlight prevents you from actually seeing them. The lamp behind them, though, shows what looks like the shadow of a head with pigtails. Is this the head of the player? If so, then the hair would leave me to believe that they are a girl, which opens the possibility for some connection between this player character and the female player characters of the previous two games.

Also, in the tutorial, Rat is referred to as "the monster". Could there be any significance in this?

In any case, despite being based on Netty, since she's an animatronic everyone I know that's played it calls her The Magician when referring to her in Candy's.

Pic was from when FNAF 3 was approaching and I had the Dusty design ready but exclusively for cute shit and wasn't quite ready to make her a character yet. I wanted to write a story as soon as FNAF3 came out to see if my hunches were correct enough to write it. They were.

However, the first run of Dust Bunny was completely awful. I mean really fucking bad. And I've gone back and read the 40 page Nightmare Foxy lewd I wrote when drunk so bad I could barely see the keyboard and I still don't regret it half as much as the first swing at Dust Bunny. It was the most boring, uneventful, lifeless shit ever. Not even the fun kind of bad. I'd compare it to Silver Eyes levels of bland dialogue and setup.

I thought Candy's 2 was definitely a mixed bag. Honestly, I really like some aspects of the gameplay. Sitting out in the open and watching the animatronics creep closer and closer to you was pretty great. And you actually had a reason to use the cameras, not just checking the same one again and again, which is really a bit of a rarity, but also kind of leads to what I didn't like.

There's no variety in the setting. You get to see a lot of the setting, but there is nothing to see. It's all empty or near empty rooms with the same concrete floor and featureless walls. The animatronics themselves were pretty unvaried, too. They either came straight for you from the center hallway or went through a vent. Very similar in both paths and behavior.

Right, exactly. For instance, Mangle acts flirty as part of her personality, but her involvement both socially and with the larger plot has not been about romancing/seducing. Bonnibel kisses Mike once in 40+ chapters, at the very end of a brief scene, out of the blue, and it would be disingenuous to suggest that means her character is merely a romantic subplot.

As you said, there's some flirting and even a kiss here and there (even those generally not romantic, in context), but it's not the thrust of the story.
