I got and tried Panzer Waltz today because I've seen it posted multiples times here but I'm surprised by the combat..

You just press "attack" and then wait for the battle to happen? Just like Advance Wars basically?

Can't aim for a particular enemy, use certain skill, some strategy while fighting?

I'm not sure I get it and maybe I missed something somewhere, there's a ton of different units so it's interesting, but if that's it, I can see the PvP being very frustrating if you can't shoot whoever you want etc..

Its pretty much low commitment kancolle lite when spending time in the bus.
Which one got shot depends on the stealth, scouting and terrain penalty.
High scouting and low stealth draws aggro which can be manipulated with equipment but usually the heavy tank is the meatshield.

Towa's main thing is that her projectiles go through everything. I could snipe the target in the Factory maps from the start location and usually try to line up enemies.
Her issue is that S2 does a lot of damage in the AoE around her. But she's an archer, so you're not usually going to be near anything. And the skill's projectile takes a while to come out.
I haven't studied Setsuna's page to see why she's so broken yet.

That said, do you think you can complete the balance/attacker only map of Black co-op with Fran?

You can never have too much Iron. I still roll the source forge plenty but not for gold tanks. If I do someday roll a Hetzer that's 250 SP though. I use Iron to reset the port after the cost gets more than 300k.

Use a lancer. Dash through the enemy, taunt it and turn it around. I imagine Defenders have a way of shielding units as well but I never used one when I played.

NPCs are pretty shit past a certain point though, they do a great job of killing themselves no matter how you try to protect them.

Use them for enhancement. Equipment is automatically stored away when using ships for enhancement, it's only lost when scrapping ships (though you can toggle if you want to keep the equipment or not).

Something I did when I started playing is getting 6~12 DDs to be my main DDs for a while. I enhanced their torpedoes with dupes DD/CLs(and some CA's).
With their torpedoes level at max and level 30~50 I could easily farm DD cores from the second stage in the first campaign to evolve them.

No need to take out their equipament, once you use them as material they are automatically moved to your weapons storage.

Sorry, I probably chose the wrong wording. A Lancer should have a class skill that is a taunt, and the single press special attack should be some kind of charging slash, which will pass through enemies.

I can't comment on your pic because it really has been a while since i played, but I had the red version of her and she was a solid character, good stats and relatively easy to combo moveset.

You'll find more and more uses for it as you progress through the game. Also rolling the forge to get advanced equips are nice too. Adv S3 is rather easy to get compared to S6.

Had enough of jap ships when playing kancolle. Also, the murrikan/yurop ships have better design in chinkcolle.

Two ways skills het stronger. One is through upgrading them (although this doesn't always improve it.)

The otheris through skill level which is through red dogs or dupes and is completely random.

There are two levels. The first is the cooldown level (that number next to the skill) which you have to max first before the skill up level.

Best to wait when you have like 30 or 40 red dogs and the weekend where it's double/triple chance to skill up.

4-5 is the best stage to farm in this event and should be able to easily breeze through it with a good green team.

5-5 is a pain in the ass but you should do it for the clear bonus.

Remember to grab the pots from the exchange shop, and the LB items. Also important but more expensive, the big skill cookie that costs 75 big things and the discounted star crystals.

I bought quite a few big xp cookies last event to level up my girls and wasnt able to afford the skill cookies or star crystals but it really gave my team a great boost since I was able to level up a lot of units with it.

The first one is set costs and the second one can fail so it can get pretty pricey. Your biggest Luna sink will be upgrading stamps but remember to set aside some coins for the breaks.
I suggest to only level SR stamps and above to save Luna.

If you cant farm 4-5 then you should be able to farm 3-5 at the very least.

In this game its pretty important to hit weakness but if you cant then try to fight neutral. You'll have a harder time but if its all you can do then it cant be helped. Never try to fight your weak element because you'll deal reduced damage and take increased damage. Its most likely going to be a waste of AP unless you really know what you're doing.

Should be able to get carried easily in 3-5 with a good green support and a decent team even if your team is extremely poverty like 3* and 2*'s. If you don't even have these then like I said, just fight neutral and hope for the best.

Remember to farm the limit break dailies too and build up your team so you can tackle stronger content. Next event has a 90% chance to be dark element since the event 3* will always be useful and strong against the next event in line.

For team issues, it should help that we're getting grindable 3*'s that upgrade to 4*'s in the new Heavenly Moon Trials next month and we get to pick what girl to work on first.

Yes, they require the blue skull at the top. For the 3*, its going to take 2 for the first LB and then 6 for the next one to a total of 8.

I would not recommend breaking the 2* because you can use those drops to exchange for something better.

On skill cookies, the big one can be used on 4*'s, the petit one can only be used on 3*'s and below. Finally, the skill cookie at the top can only be used on event cards but you probably can skip this one. Save your skill cookies until you know what you want to do with them since these are rare.

For the stamps, these can drop from maps. 5-5 has the best drop rate but 4-5 is the best for comfy farming and can still get both at decent rates. 3-5 can also drop them but its going to take a lot of luck and attempts to see one.

Yes, the chibi things in the shop that have the face of a girl are Stamps. The gold one is SR and the silver one is R. The weapon for these stamps will always be the weapon the girl uses but note that you can equip these on any character, they're just rarer (and cuter) versions of the normal stamps.

Since you just started and there's no Virtual tower event up right now then the best thing you can do right now is work on building/leveling your team while grinding the current event. Like I said above, next event will be dark element so keep that in mind when limit breaking units and building a team. If you have absolutely no light units then you could form a poverty team with the event 3* Sakurako if you're desperate or try to play neutral if you feel like your strongest team can handle it.

If light, you will take neutral damage against dark but will deal weakness damage. Same for dark. This is their way of balancing the elements so L/D don't end up overpowered and players steamroll everything with a single neutral team.

Looking at it, Dark has the potential to be the strongest. However it's a high risk and high reward. Thunder is pretty much a Skill based Fire. But 1 skill combo would be absurd. With two gachas per event, it seems like they want to get through the old MRs quickly. Going by the old database, it should take four more events for this card to show up, given they won't skip around.
