Tried the GS Swordspear for the first time in 200+ hours of gameplay. The multi-poke is amazing in certain situations, and R2ing something that's just about to hit you is incredibly satisfying.

Still underwhelmed because literally nothing is better than SS spamming in PvE/ general adventuring.

Really need to actually learn this thing though. I've been getting wrecked in every PvP encounter.

Yeah, the DLC is pretty short. but the Arena is really nice.

I'm hoping the next dlc is larger. Considering the season pass is 25 freedom dollars, if the next dlc is large enough it might end up being a good deal.

The problem now is the waiting game. The next dlc is scheduled for 2017

Which is questionable givin the content we've just seen.

Ds2 had dlc after 4 months, being released in march.

Ds3 had dlc released after... 7 months(time flies), being originally released in march as well.

Ds2 then had 2 more dlc's a month after eachother.

So we likely won't see another dlc until February, which, in my opinion, isn't really worth calling it a 'season pass', when it would be damn near a year.

There's a number of open ended content areas that look like they were meant to serve a greater purpose than they currently do in game:

- Yhorm's area appears to be the original steps to the kiln of the first flame, with the original Lordvessel, and the area where Frampt drops down and spits you out. Feels like it should be serving a greater overall purpose to the story, yet is devoid of any current content.

- Path to the right of crystal sage appears to lead to another area that was either scrapped altogether or physically walled off for later content. Note that the boundary wall appears to have been added at the last minute due to the horrid clipping around it.

- The grave and Priscilla's? Tower after memetender seem like they were meant to have a greater purpose than they currently serve.

My only complaint is that everything feels incredibly rushed for the amount of time they had to work with. You can pretty much hotfoot the entirety of it without stopping. There's more questions raised than answers given, which makes me wonder how they plan to tie up the entirety of the Souls series, lore, and so on in only one more dlc pack if this the amount of effort they're putting into them. It's more like the painted world was intended to be a part of the initial launch, but took too much time to finish.

So they're either spending a ton of effort on the last dlc, planning to release more dlcs than announced, or have made plans to continue the Souls series indefinitely.

- Queen of Lothric still missing
- Dark Soul still at large
- Mask of the Memefather still missing
- Multiple aspects of lore missing entirely

I said this since day 1, but ds3 is rushed to shit. The fact that they had 7 months, seven, to release a dlc, and all we got was this leaves me to believe that we won't be getting much.

Theres a few really big themes that have not been addressed yet.

Based on the events of the game, at some point Gwyndolin would have entered the original painted world of Ariamis for whatever reason, probably realizing that his father had hidden Seathe's half-human dragon bastard child in the painting, bringing Priscilla into the "actual" world and giving her the name Yorshka. The rotting crow people probably ended up that way from the chosen undead's original entrance into the painted world, or from either Gwyndolin or even Sulyvahn's presence as well. They are only used as a reference to reinforce that you are actually in the original painted world.

Painter girl, while appearing quite young, is actually quite old considering the number of paintings she's made of Friede and the aging of said paintings.

What strikes me as interesting are the paintings that clearly show Friede engulfed in flames. That and her apparent relation to the primordial serpents.

Doing the DLC, i've killed the Greatwolf, Friede and Father Ariandel and that pyromancer invader in Priscillas old bossroom.

I've talked to the crow NPC, the monster NPC behind you in the first area if the DLC, and the painter. The guy that sends you into the painting seems to have disappeared.

The painter doesn't say anything but: "Wonder if uncle Gael has found it.. The dark soul of man"

She leaves a number of openings, actually. Any heavy attack she does that's not a combo leaves her open, and her combos can be interrupted at certain points, even after you get hit by a couple and dodge out.

>frost semicircle: the frost doesn't extend to her, roll right on top of her
>blackfire slam: dodge forward+right and attack during recovery

>normal power attack: every so often she'll do this, you can get her if you're quick
>blackfire combo: after the first 2 parts combo pieces she'll jump in the air, you can hit her out of this
>any combo: trade with the first hit and you'll come out ahead

In general you should just be pretty far from her so you can dodge her combos easier. Just wait until she does an aoe or rush attack that's easy to dodge.
