Sure it has some nice stats and all but it's really underhwelming, especially because I can't generally proc it on bosses.

Your in the same situation as I am at this point, just stick with the Shaman if you really feel like being competitive (assuming your Enhance here). Otherwise I would just bite the dust and grind Mythic for eternity as Unholy
