Not him, but it lies in the fact that the death strike mechanic is a poor idea because blood shield is so poor. It would make sense in a pre-WoD world where blood shield was an effective absorb, the WoD design worked within the context of the broader spec so blood shield was fine then but in its nerfed state it can't buffer your damage for the Legion iteration, so its purely reactive death striking, leaving boneshield as your primary buffer. It can do well for small damage, but what blood needs is a short cd dr like rune tap in WoD not the legion version. In addition the death strike runic power choice was a poor one from day one, but it would mean a ground up redesign and class designers are lazy. Then not having death pact or or blood tap for emergency runes and thus death strikes leaves a reactive spec even further behind because when big damage comes out and you're low on RP a three gcd rotation for death striking is too long. If it was a mitigating ability the time would be justified, but you can't have a reactive spec take so much time to get a heal out.

I can help you out real quick.

Take a simc of your current gear and paste in the sim. Take another simc of your character with the other trinkets, only grab the trinket lines.

Add a line at the bottom

Then paste the two trinkets at the bottom.

This will take about twice the normal sim time.
