There is though, or at least kind of. Most champion's weapons run on some form of crystal. Bariks gun, androxus' revolver, fernando's flamethrower, and grohk's staff all run on the same form of crystal, it seems pretty obvious that they are the standard energy source of the world. However, this isn't really the main problem, the issue is more that the characters don't fit into the setting itself. Whilst it's a sci-fantasy world, the setting is in no way science oriented, its clearly a medieval style world. With this setting, pure fantasy characters have no trouble fitting in, neither do hybrid characters, like with bomb king, even though his weapons seem to run on an advanced technology, his base medieval/fantasy appearance carries him through. Characters that are purely science fiction stick out like a sore thumb in this world, as they just don't fit the setting. Nothing about Kinessa or Viktor fit into the fantasy setting. It's like if blizzard put a mage character into overwatch that clearly stated that they don't run on any tech and they're pure magic. Even though you have a character like reinhardt who could be considered sci-fantasy, the world is clearly a science fiction one and not fantasy, so the pure fantasy character sticks out.

They would be fine if there were any science fiction based settings in paladins, but there aren't, like if it was said that kinessa and viktor came from a different civilization that was technilogically advanced and are the result for the fantasy world of paladins having advanced technology it would make sense, but even still then they'd stick out in the setting, unless the setting changed to have more of a balance between science and fantasy.

my rule of thumb is to never ice block while in line of sight of people. i only ever use it to block obvious shit, contest points, or to scoot around a corner to either:
a) ensure i stay out of combat long enough for veteran to kick in
b) catch a nigger in the slow AOE and mark them for +30% ice staff damage

Otherwise you literally just fucking blink on people and blow them up before anyone can react. With wormhole it gives you an option to get out, or confuse enemies, or you can blow the return warp quickly to proc Flicker again.

I use Soar to reposition or get close to targets depending on who the target is. I like using Soar to get air and then blinking to the ground and wormholing to the sky after, too. I use it to flee depending on who I'm against. It's pretty similar to Drogoz' thrust and using it to dive a weak target can work well.

also i pretty much never face off with a decent drogoz. His jetpack just fucks you up. Even with your ult down he can still jet and make a bitch out of you.

Her ult charges really fast. I usually get Morale Boost on her. Her ult isn't terrific, the best part about it is the Cripple. Really good against Pip, Androxus, Ying, etc. Talking about items I almost never buy a red item unless I have spare dough. I always buy Veteran first pretty much, get Blast Shields if they have an Evie+/Drogoz+/Pip, then focus on Morale Boost.

She has to be in relatively close range to get the most of her damage. It still doesn't offset the fact that Skye has the least flexible kit of all the flankers, is the least mobile flanker overall, has a shitcan of an ult, is nonexistent in competitive play and is, for all practical purposes, the weakest character in the game.

Despite all this, newbies still can't stand her because they don't know how to counter her and her stealth.
