From what you mentioned at least one of those things should have come with the base game.
God all these expansions add so little content it hurts, all of the Sims 2 and 3 expansions added a tons of mechanics plus things like you mentioned within the game.

By this point because there is no map nor rabbit holes all the careers should have been made to be playable in real time instead of walking and going to the rabbit hole.

Shit it doesn't even have cars to travel to rabbit holes and that came in the second expansion of the sims 2.

Well she is a teen there so she doesnt have much fight in her yet, but she will. Also these men in that line of work are very scary.
