I'm REALLY curious about how difficult some of the raid/dungeon content will be now that player locations are taken out of DBM.

Blizzard has been putting more and more position-relative mechanics into their group content, but it's been on the assumption that people have add-ons assisting them position. Now with that no longer possible, it seems like fights will suddenly become more difficult.

It's easy to say that, but honestly the position alerts are really helpful. There are a lot of people who would be nearly useless if they didn't have flashing lights in front of them telling them to move.

And hell, when you've got a complicated rotation or you're healing, it can be difficult to keep track of shit without add-on help.

They did a number crunch in WoD. Bosses had over a billion health in MoP. They might do another one with the next expansion. But they have the design philosophy that previous content should become significantly easier once the new content comes out. That means you're constantly ramping up. This sort of thing is inevitable.

I'm new to raiding. I took a 6? Year break. I'm still learning how to not be garbage at healing. I'm just saying that DMB made a lot of mechanics much more manageable for someone like me. There's a lot of shit going on and that I have to think about, so having flashing sirens telling me to move is honestly what I want.

But I'm fine learning, I'm ok with there being an increase in difficulty. But if you're PUGing, you can't rely on other people not sucking. DBM with positioning at least increases the odds of not wiping.

This was an alt, so I just had my guild buddies run me through some mythics. When I had my first character 800 -> 810 I believe was almost entirely world quests and farming the high ilv normal dungeons.

Try doing the Halloween daily as well, I think it gives 835
