I'm still in the second chapter (thank god they made nord more manageable by letting you teleport more).

It feels pretty beefy so far, there are more cutscenes and there's plenty of skippable content like the shrines that are bonus dungeons and the EX chests that give two characters a boss fight to unlock their overdrive (a new mechanic). I had a hard time fighting the two jaegers from Fie's corps at the end of the first chapter.

If they added new mechanics and side content to mix it up then it might not be so bad. My gripe with 1 was playing on hard the random battles were generally easy as fuck and boring, but then you hit a boss and suddenly its a pain in the ass, especially if you don't have the right status effect accessories.

So the question is what do I want to play 2 on? I'd rather it not be easy as fuck so I get bored and quit, but also not annoyingly grindy when a boss is suddenly a large hike.

One thing I'd complain about is that the sense of time passing is sort of messed up given how much content they jam in. I kinda find it hard to believe that all the shit I did in the first chapter in Celdic in which I walked on foot all the way to Garrelia fortress after looking for Machias, Elliot and Fie and doing requests took only 1 day and the same for Nord.

I disagree about the designs. Every girl in Photokano has long pencil neck; half of them have misty eyes, bad hair textures and steep cheek slopes; and all of the ones with big tits look terrible due to the tits eclipsing their tiny waists and arms making them look unbalanced as fuck. I've bought E&L three times. One for PS3, one LE plus edition and one plus edition digitally since they didn't include the Jap audio in the cart. With Sophie I bought the PS4 LE and digital Vita game.

Jesus, I'm dying from boredom grinding out this trophy. It's literally just selecting characters, waiting for the match to load, seeing the fight intro sequence, and going back to character select to repeat the process. I have about 80 more cycles of this to go too. Anyone got any recommendations on how I should pass the time while grinding it out?

Honestly, because it's fun to do. I don't usually go trophy hunting, but setting reasonable goals and trying to reach them is pretty fun. I just happened to roll trying to plat AH3 when setting it and decided why not. It's been fun thus far, but there's also some struggle involved in completing anything worth while. It's no fun if everything is easy and given to you, right?

It's like playing an rpg. You generally want to work to the end and finish the game, but there's probably a section or boss that's bs tier or frustrates you. You'll still get through that part to finish the game, right? You wouldn't just drop the game because "this section is hard and not fun, so the whole game is a piece of shit" kind of idealism, right?

It's a similar concept with working towards a not so difficult plat. It's fun overall, but some parts aren't as fun as others.
