Pretty much. I run flare/periscope on every map except Amiens, where I switch out periscope for tripwire.

The decoy is fun but not all that useful, k-bullets do fuckall and the time you spend shooting at a vehicle is better spent shooting at infantry, and the shield just gives away your position.

Meanwhile the flare is incredibly useful because it helps out mortars and even the biggest retards will make use of it. The periscope is just so good on just about any map for safely hunting enemy scouts, making sure an area is clear before you proceed through it, and spotting in general.

This was my first time every requesting a refund for a game

I've played 5 hours of bf1 since purchasing it last night and felt no amount of fun whatsoever. The guns are just reskins of what you'd see in any other modern shooter, operations are drawn out one-sided bullshit, there are glitches out the wazoo, and the amount of time I spent queuing for a match just to get disconnected as I was loading or lose before I could even spawn is insane. Fuck this trash heap of a game, I could spend $60 on cheap vodka and bubble wrap and have significantly more fun.

Is the HE or the air burst mortar better against infantry? HE says it can be used against both vehicles and infantry but is it better than air burst for infantry?

My Origin Overlay just doesn't work, everytime I boot up the game it tells me to use Shift+F1. I've disabled Nvidia framerate counter and any other app that has an overlay.

Now that you mention it, it does always turn into a battle for the cliffs on the far side of the map.

So there's an object in the central trench/river/whatever that's causing the huge light flares/nukes from the overview, but you can also see it if you go to the place yourself when that's happening.

For me it also sometimes fucks with my colour; the flare starts being yellow, and sometimes removes all red from my screen, making it go cyan.

I love using the flare. I'm more of a frontlines Scout vs a Sniper scout. I love the Infantry Gewher rifle with a nice spot flare and K bullet.

That being said, how exactly do spot flares work? Do they spot while in the sky? Or when they hit the ground?

Also is there ever a fucking reason on any class to use ADS, hip fire is king in this game from what I've seen.

Unless you're engaging from over 60 meters, hip fire and run and gun always seems like the best course of action.

I often see them packed with full 6 people, which means that ~4 people on your team are doing fuck all, and are actually a really easy pray. Meanwhile, light tank with a good driver supported by 5 infantrymen could fuck up entire enemy team.

I seem to have atrocious luck with teams though. I mean, I have like a 33% winrate with 15 hours played. Considering I almost only play on 64 player servers that's just unnatural even if I was doing LITERALLY NOTHING. Why does it feel like 2/3 of the rockets I shoot at tanks just disappear? Whether it be from a field gun, another tank, AT launcher, it feels like sometimes I hit a tank 3 times and it blows up, and sometimes I have to shoot it 8+ for it to blow up

Listen kills still mean a lot in these game modes and someone that does REALLY well with things usually get a pass.

If you made the argument about someone whoring a tank and going 5-0 in a 30 minute conquest map is a shitter. A sniper or tank driver getting 50 kills might just have the most kills AND denied anyone a kill of their own.

I'm saying it's fucking sad that these people only ever play in a tank. It's all they ever do, game after game. Just run straight for the tank, have their friend spawn in to heal them and then go camp outside the map for the rest of the next hour. All to stat pad their virtual K/D

I'm saying it's frustrating as fuck because there's really very little you can do to counter it as it takes so many people to take them out, and even then they will just immediately spawn another one

Only had it happen to me once, because my corpse ragdolled after a big explosion. Sometimes i get shades of green in my gameplay as well, often due to getting shot in the air and my plan jerking around. I think the tearing from the sudden movement/collision causes it/ However just adjust your graphics settings and it will improve; i reduced my graphics settings and got this more often then with the settings on high.

You can't control the way other people want to play in a 64 player match. Getting frustrated and ranting about another players style makes you look like a shitter. Git gud and find a way to beat them.

Because I played for 4 hours yesterday, and watched 2 guys in a tank go 22-0, then immediately get in a tank the next game. I asked what he was doing because he was getting a weird match bonus that I couldn't figure out, and he said he was in the "SAS Tank Commandos regiment" which I thought was a weird as fuck regiment till I realised he was talking about a fucking battlefield clan
Started telling me about his record being 42-0 and his buddy has been with him since BC2

So he's been doing that shit all game every game since battlefield BC2.

Honestly I have no idea if these people actually enjoy what they're doing, or if they're, as I suspect, just treating it like a job. I can go take a photo of the messages if you're skeptical, he wouldn't fuck off telling me about his records or reasons for him being in the tank regiment.
