Even with everything on high/hard nothing ever attacks my base in Empyrion.
I got 3 waves of drones on Aqua. That's all.
I even went to another planet and built a base there, and nothing. According to the settings it's supposed to be an infinite waves/medium planet. Nothing. I'm seriously getting bored here and my turrets feel like decorations.

And maybe lowered the center of mass a bit.

And then added another pair of wheels for added stability

Possibly flatten it for better aerodynamics and to further lower the profile, plus you need less armor to attain the same protection so it's lighter

Use the extra space to stick a very large gun on it

Yeah, should work

The problems are the hip joings, all of them.

In the pitch axis, i cant control the limits on the fly.
So, when whe put one leg forward, it dosent put the other leg a little backwards, so it end up facing the floor, if i put like 20 more degrees just there, it will stand straight and even walk better, but at doing the reverse to go standing up again, it will be like gif related.
Thats why this need a combination of scripts and direct control.
>>
>>158143152
>>158140465
I keep telling you to ape the system from the AT-ST. In addition, use EasyAutomation and a small script that does nothing but rotate the uppermost vertical leg rotor on the one currently grounded to keep the torso vertical. The hurry up and re-do them with proper warbros kit. I can't fucking stand seeing nothing but those shitty gatlings and rocket pods on everyone's shit, especially that Defender/Rifleman.

They even have a super obnoxious horn you can make that you can blast at people non stop.

Well, there is nothing like that in spengos, would save from alot of scripting by just set a particular angle as the center, and force the rotor to reach out to it no matter its position, put some force and brake force to not shake too much and you can turn on-off those and do some little override to move, and thats it.
But you have to set all that in scripting.

>>158144618
Arm OS is working on shared joint control.
If that gets done, would prefer to use that because you can even set 3d positions on a text panel, and you need a 2 blocks, but the easy automation needs a fucking LCD, wich is big, flat, and very hard to hide inside the mech, chest is already filled with stuff. and the phalanx has an smug animu face, and i was thinking about put one as ASCII.
Everything is going to be vanilla, i would be using hinges by far if not, makes all joints and geometry more compact.
>>
>>158146118
>a spray can that sprays patterned paint
That's some Disney shit
>>
So since CHODE has default vehicles that are trash, when can we expect custom campaigns or even multiplayer mode where two players use their designs to destroy the other player's fleet?
>>
>>158146261
>Everything is going to be vanilla, i would be using hinges by far if not, makes all joints and geometry more compact.
Fucking why
You need to figure out what server environment you are targetting and use the tools available to you. I can accept using only rotors

I accept the space concerns however, I've already thought out how I was going to design and build my own walkers using similar techniques but I had accounted for needing an LCD or three from the get-go for EA use as well as fleet command script use, as I planned from the outset on making them useful in automated teams. You could even mod them into faction units and get attacked by them. Either way, I'd do it anyway with a testbed to see how the solution works out with EA. I've got a four-legged tank I'd like to make work in Arm OS. And by working on shared joint control, you mean being able to control them independently of Arm OS? Otherwise, you could go ahead and try the spider tank idea right now. You'd probably want something to convert the 3D GPS coords into 2D planetary coords, unless you can already use a coordinate plane with the programming block/body as the frame of reference. Then you just decrement the step height from the walking level of the robot until the landing gear senses the ground, or raise it if it detects something before it reaches the point you were trying to make it step at.
>>
>>158147246
Forgot to finish the first part of the post. I can accept using rotors over hinges, not everywhere might have those, but at the bare minimum put some better weapons on it. At least keep an alternate blueprint with a weapon pack enabled or a version built for Warbros use.

We are getting close. We already have cans of paint that can spray mixed colors and texures so the paint feels lumpy or rough.

And then we have shit like this.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgEjrtBprlo

Only a matter of time before somebody comes up with a can that can spray actual designs and symbols.
>>
>>158147246
>>158147409
And by working on shared joint control, you mean being able to control them independently of Arm OS?
look on the tutorials how he insist so much about the orientation of everything, on double joints one is reversed so it need to reverse its controls for specific tagged rotors.
You can use other methods for multiple legs.
sice it uses a PB and a TB its small enough to be hidden even in the legs it self, dont know if works like that, maybe also playing with remote controls, but you can set one script combo for each leg if the original one wont work if you set all joints on a single script.
I recomend 6 legs over 4, the stability is a mess with 4 legs.
Unless you rise 1 leg at a time or do like robit and rely on sensors and timers wich center with secondary scripts.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZT7mCLqiBo
Here is 1 with 4 legs, and it relies on low gravity and gyros to keep itself standing.
>>
>>158146261
>nothing like that in spengos

There's nothing like that in besiege either, so I made one on my own. I made an "active" version that depends on the movement of two stationary pistons that rotate a swivel joint attached to a hinge, and a "passive" version that is a swivel joint with some flat wing panels on either side that are weighted by ballasts. You can see a picture of the passive RTC mechanism here. The center area with the wheels is a kind of torque generator that rotates the central body of this rudimentary helicopter in any particular direction. The passive RTC mechanisms resist that motion to keep the helicopter mostly upright. When I align the central axis of the helicopter with the gravitational force vector, the wings return to their center position and the helicopter remains upright.
>>
>>158148615
I was banking on software stabilization based on the tank's orientation, moving two diagonally opposed legs at a time and accounting for the instability at the hip rotors considering you are, in fact, landing-geared to the ground through those legs.
>>
>>158148615
>>158147409
Also forgot the reply to that part.
The original have hands, and hold a weapon, maybe i can sort something out, but also vanilla, and its because of the challenge, and that i not rely on anything than the game to achieve it, for me hinges are like nanites.
Guns are the easiest to replace, this one dosent have any gun as structural part.
Wont be hard to replace the cannons and other shit, but no one did small swarm of guided missiles yet, that would be its mod weapon of choice.
Keen need to improve its guns.
>>158148989
noice.
>>158149490
Thats why you need direct control, instead of a backpack filled with gyros and a script to keep you stable.

Compare that to buying a BMW, you buy it, insure and plate it and its under warranty for 4 years, trouble free. And once the warranty runs out you can easy find a sucker to get it off your hands.

Honestly I'd want a tank too but you have to think these things thru. The people who have these are either rich or have no life.

Are Range finders all you need for the AI to shoot accurately? The guns are accurate within 0.07 degrees but the shots miss by miles they're not even close.

Has anyone got hard info this is getting really frustrating/

>Are Range finders all you need for the AI to shoot accurately?
>the shots miss by miles
I guess we'll never know
>>
>>158165908
Well it's not a simple question is it? Many of the player designs I see here use range finders exclusively.

Also it's not consistent. Against a ship it can miss 20 shots in a row but against a big airship it can hit 20 times in a row.
>>
>>158166106
When it misses, is it missing precisely?

It could be the difference between hitting 30% of the shots with a firehose and hitting 0% of shots by one centimeter.
>>
Why people stop playing on the serb?
>>
>>158166106
None of the designs you see might have a camera or radar tucked away somewhere, or some sonar below the waterline? If it doesn't work, mess around until it does
>>
>>158166521
Because Marek is still not gassed.
>>
>>158166391
When it misses it's about 50/50 splash downs far short of the target or shots flying far above and over. The guns are set to maximum accuracy requirement (0.5) before firing so I don't get why they're even firing if they're not pointed at the target.

>>158166601
Fair enough. What do you guys use for big long range guns?
>>
>>158167004
Looks like you're getting shitty range readings. Look at what will be best for range. Laser range finder or radar gimbal are good

It's a hack I made that creates a new projector subtype. They can't accept external blueprints (and don't have any ModAPI shit beyond the ProjectorBase stuff, no cheating allowed), but they have one simple, yet important function: Press the Create Snapshot button, and it copies the ship it's attached to, sets it as blueprint, and then aligns the blueprint to the current grid (except for some issues I'm having where the projection is shat out in a rotated state).

Unfortunately, I can only implement these as a modification in SECE since Keen made mods unable to access a bunch of things in projectors, most importantly the Clipboard.

Yeah, expect to see those things fucking everywhere, in every match.

But players are throwing up a huge stink about them, so maybe they will get nerfed.

They have tons of overpowered as fuck lightweight armor, and 10-12 wheels, meaning youll never be able to slow them down or disable them. You cannot compete with them at all unless you build one too.

My trukks evolved and gotten huger and is tanky as fuck now, but yeah, grill box builds still just tear me to shreds because they just dont fucking die.

I can blast normal players apart with my cannons, but grill boxes are just completely unfazed by canons and basically everything. I can blow off 6 fucking wheels, and they can still drive totally fine.

It just gets worse and worse as you go into higher tier matches. Once you go past 4000PS you start seeing grill boxes driving around with dual legendary shotguns or dual hurricane homing missiles, or even dual 100MM cannons stuck on the sides, that can still go max speed and shake off hits from anything.

Ive found that playing right around 3500-3800PS is the sweet spot for "fun".

Oh, also, the reason why grill armor is so totally fucked is that it allows 90% of damage to pass through it.

The devs went retarded and thought,"Sasha, I haev great idea for gaem. What ifs damage pass through lunatic armors because its is so full of holes and emtpy bars? It am makes sense and make armor very weak, but light weight at same tiem!".

But then they didnt fucking think it through because now builds made of solid grill armor have damage literally pass through them. It goes in one side and out the other and does nothing, barely damaging the armor itself, and any major components that take damage take greatly reduced damage thanks to the grill armor removing 10+% depending on layers of armor.

So while normal armor takes machine gun fire and flakes off, revealing the delicate vehilce cabin and modules, grill armor just goes LOL and passes 90% of the damage to the next layer, which then passes it on again, and eventually out the other side of the car.

in russia there are rules.jpg
96KB, 466x443px
The Russians apparently play Machinecraft a different way now. They're sorting out classes and types. Could be fun

All vehicle types can be anything - not restricted by the implications of the class name. I.e "bomber" can actually be a helicopter.
Tanks could be truck style vehicles, etc. Could make something really dumb looking utterly unrelated, as long as it fits a class specification.

Surface Vehicle Classes
MBT (Main Battle Tank)
mass: 1250-9999; can use: JP-type sword armor, cannons, launchers, beamers, shields. Cant use: thrusters, trackers, movers, shaft prophellers, tankguns, howitzers.

AT - Artillary Tank
mass: 500-9999; can use: cannons, howitzers, beamers, launchers, shields

LT - Light Tank
mass: 375-1250; can use: cannons, beamers, launchers, shields, shaft prophellers

BMTS - Battle Machine of Tank Support (russian БMПT(BMPT) - Бoeвaя Maшинa Пoддepжки Taнкoв)
mass: 500-5000; can use: cannons, tankguns, beamers, launchers

Mech Classes
LM - Light Mech
mass: 20-150, height < 14 blocks, should move only use fair walking without thrusters, movers, shfts etc, AGDs are allowed for balance; can use: trackers, cannons, tankguns, howitzers, launchers, beamers, shields, 1 sword.

HM - Heavy Mech
mass >350 or height >15 blocks; other rules like for LM, but cant use swords and (? discussing) cant use beamers.

Aircraft Classes
All aircrafts of corse can use shafts
(Aircraft classes can be any kind of aircraft, e.g fighter/gunship/bomber can all be helicopters/hoveringjets etc.

Fighter
mass: 100-9999, can use: thrusters, X-power of thrusters, all weapons apart of swords. Cant use wheels, shouldnt move on the ground and cant use AGDs

Gunship
mass: 150-9999, can use: all wepons, thrusters, swords can be used only like JP-type swordarmor also cant use AGD's

Bomber
mass:150-9999, can use: all weapons apart of swords, trackers, AGD's for balance. Can only use shafts for flight.

Ships - they are reworking the rules on this but apparently max 2 props, no trackers.

I actually learn programming and game development for that goal, however that goal is impossible by myself and would require a massive team to develop.

As it would need to have everything from structure stress to resistance of electricity in materials along with dyanmic destruction of enviroment and simulation of enviroment to case destruction and such.

Materials and so on.

im using stock 8mm railguns, but there is a glitch (i guess its a glitch) in its power consumptions.
If you use multiple pieces of a single weapon (two 100MW lasers for example) you need energy to power them both (2x100MW) but if you use railguns you dont have to do that. So to power 20 39MW 8mm railguns you need only 39MW of power. This allows you to put insane firepower on small ship. pic related is same ship with 20x39MW of power.

You keep saying everyone needs to be a winner, as if you're projecting. You're not projecting, are you, anon?

The point I'm attempting to get across is that absolute optimum designs in a game where its possible to create your craft from scratch is retarded. It litterally defeats the purpose of being able to build at all. Don't get me wrong, every design being a good one is also retarded, but Cuckout is way the hell too far close to the former than the latter. Robocuck being the latter, for perspective.

Its not skill if all you need to do to win is copy someone else's design. That's called copying their design and claiming yourself skilled.

If you give several people all the same weapon each, it's balanced.

If you give them each different weapons that are all unequal in power/usefulness, that is unbalanced, and they will simply try to all get the most powerful weapon. This eventually leads to the first scenario, making the situation useless.

If you make all the weapons different but actually pay attention to how they interact with other, making certain weapons better against each other in a balanced manner, then it is ultimately the same, but far more fucking interesting to play in a video game.

It's kind of annoying that. Nuclear deterrents don't work too well on extremists since they just go 'haha we'll make a base in the middle of a populated area'; chemical weapons would have the same problem except the area would be easier to clean up afterwards, so we'd only have to worry about the population.

Space Station 13 has a highly complex atmospheric model that allows you to change air chemistry, temperature, pressure. Since it's basically TTT: IN SPAAAACE, many traitors will make use of atmospherics to kill everyone on the station.

And yes, there's en entire room the size of an American Football field full of pipes, filters, and mixers that handles recycling and processing the air supply on the station, and pipes run throughout it to supply the station's demands and filter off CO2/Plasma.

It's fun to be atmos tech, although you never get to finish any projects. If you're into pipes autism, I highly suggest trying it.

In ss13 you're (usually) a member of said space station, and you do your assigned job (or not) until /fun/ happens.

Said jobs range from being a janitor who's supposed to clean the floors, (optionally) place "wet floor" signs, point to said signs when people slip, etc. to more technical shit like engineering or atmospherics technician, where you have to take care that the atmosphere in the station is breatheable, fix any hull breach, and that kind of stuff.

Then /fun/ stuff happens, from vending machines that throw coffee at you to more serious stuff like meteor storm, space wizards and more.

The game has two major problems. One is the platform: BYOND is shit.
The other one is the playerbase. If you have a good playerbase you can have interesting stuff like pic related. If you have a bad playerbase you'll have a bunch of metagaming retards that will try to murder anything in sight for no reason. I'm not saying it's wrong, but what's the point? It's much more satisfying to rig up the full spacestation and make it blow up while everybody is waiting for the evacuation shuttle.

Sorry for the offtopic

>sa

So it's a bad game that people play ironically to be part of some gay little club. Thanks for the summary.
>>
>>158288978
There is no good playerbase.
Period.
Every single one of them gets infiltrated by self-righteous assholes who proceed to allow in more of the self-righteous assholes and subvert the whole game into a whirlwind of circlejerking and faggotry. And then it's impossible to play the game in any way, even if you wade through all the echo-chamber tier whining, circlejerks, metagroups and various forms of metagaming.

Oh, and literally all the building and "engineering" potential it has is incredibly fucking tedious and slow.

That's not a failure of the community, but an utter failure of administration for NOT cutting that shit off, and administering chemo before the cancer can metastasize. I'd provide an example, but I think mentioning the site is still an automatic perma-ban. Suffice it to say, the admins got infiltrated by metagaming faggots, the good admins got pushed out by doxx and the community's good players fucked off leaving a festering boil of niggerdom in it's place.

The administration is part of the community. As long as the headmin doesn't have the balls to actually remove the fucktards who are taking the server apart, like Pomf or SoS or Velyks or many shining examples before, who were utterly unable to just punch the screaming, whining asshole who's nudging the door open for all its furry friends.

>>
>>158278976
How do you set up the race, so that it doesn't just end after 30 seconds with one or no surviving participants?
>>
>>158291153
It varies.
The most frequent is absolute braindead fucking retards who stick to the word of the law until the very last breath. Because exact definitions are so incredibly important in a social game for a community of 100 people, right?
Then there are the ones who are just "too nice" and cannot comprehend the fact that some people are just assholes, and don't really fit into the playerbase. See /vg/, where you can find metagaming cunts, "muh roleplaying" assholes and circlejerking beautiful little butterflied all alike, because Pomf is too limp-wristed to simply disallow someone from playing because, apparently, everyone should have the right to play and communicate in a place wherein everyone fucking hates their guts.

TL;DR: Word of the law, always; apologists and hosts in absence like SoS.

But this isn't really engineering, is it?
Post engineering.

I'm trying to make this small mining ship in spengs, but for some reason I can't transfer ore from the drills to the large container, or from the large container to the reactor.
Before you ask, I have power. I put a different small reactor on the ship loaded during construction.

I removed the container so I can show what's under it. I had the large container with the correct side (small conveyor socket) on that middle conveyor part. The drills can actually transfer ore between them, but I can't put them into the container for some reason.

You should, set them to suck ore and spit it into the containers, and one before the reactor to suck some uranium when you turn it on.
>>
>>158294956
No sorters. But I can't even manually transfer from the drill to the contaner.

I even tried with placing a small container right on the conveyor part, and that didn't work either. The same conveyor is connecting the 3 drills, and the connection between the drills is working.

On the serb, matieral wont update very often, sometimes the materials or the ore is not there, but the inventory show you there is something.

also, from a torrent? or the "forums"?

if it's not ownership, then there are some other things you can try:
1) the engine isn't recognizing the new blocks, which can be fixed with a restart. Happened a few times, but never with this new versions
2) if you're using mods, you're using some that breaks some blocks or you're using a block that you think it's the standard one but it's actually a modded one (some mods have identic icons for some blocks)
3) you're actually placing the cargo the wrong way thanks to marek's new and improved auto alignment of blocks which everyone totally asked for (doesn't explain the red conveyor)

Googled the incident: They were performing an overspeed test on the turbine. The turbine has 3 independent automated safeties and a guy with his finger on a stop button. Turbine was rated up to 3600RPM overspeed.

So, they shut down all the other turbines, and dumped all the steam into this turbine. It reached 3600 RPM in ten seconds.

All the automated safeties failed.

The guy who was supposed to push the stop button was taking a piss break.

The turbine reached 4500RPM right before it exploded.

Jesus Christ, that perforated ceiling, though

That's what happens when a turbine disk explodes at overspeed: You know how a lightsaber can penetrate anything? A titanium alloy turbine disk blade is made to handle extreme temperatures and pressures, and are often grown out of a single crystal of the alloy material in an extremely expensive, secretive process, then covered with ceramic to increase their badassitude.

Now imagine one or two of these blades (probably a meter long, a few hundred kilos, judging by the turbine shaft roots) spinning around their shaft at 4500 RPM, suddenly being released from their roots. They shred the casing of the turbine with the effectiveness of a shotgun blast to paper, and continue moving outwards, slicing neat little holes through everything in their wake. Behind them is a high-pressure, high-temperature steam explosion from the now-ruptured pressure vessel. (The big hole was probably the pressure blast, or a hunk of the turbine disk.)

Now you know why the seats on the same plane as jet engine fan disks are vacant. You do not fuck around with those kinds of physics.

>implying high-velocity round

>Some rounds are even designed to fragment into a fine powder that explodes after it it penetrates armor.
>implying even more implications

Let's see.

>120mm APFSDS
Muzzle velocity 1,575 m/s
>120mm HEAT-MP
Muzzle velocity 1,140 m/s

DU is used in kinetic penetrators, and not, at all, ever, for HEAT ammunition.

You don't want HEAT to be heavy or heavier, as it has no penetrating properties until the shaped charge produces the EFP (explosively formed penetrator) out of copper. Your payload is copper, explodey stuff and a housing for it. You drop everything that is not one of those three.

DU penetrators are self-sharpening, the tip remains a tip as it flakes off material rather than bend/deform. The flakes are ignted by the friction energy as the round penetrates the target. The DU flakes are then combined with oxygen in the target's inside and ignited by the heat/sparks/etc. DU penetrators aren't specifically designed to do that, but they do do that as an added effect. The primary reason for DU kinetic penetrators is their added weight per volume and self-sharpening properties, which in turn increases their penetration. These, you want to be heavy and every iota of weight is either flight stabilisation or impact mass.

Fuck off, you're not a threadhead at all. Yes, I am triggered.

Are jet turbines that easy to manufacture?
i know the jet RC is a thing, but also know its expensive.
But also.. asides from rockets or jet, there isnt other solution for the go forward problem.
a ramjet could be more expensive because of the chamber. but its the best for high speeds, wich i think is the best for a cruise missile.
>>
>>158353483
But with a ramjet you need intakes, which cause more drag and slow it down.
>>
>>158353750
Still, it will consume less fuel than a jet counterpart, in theory, taking what the sr71 does, it goes faster and consume les on ramjet mode, but it needs to be over the sonic barrier.
So, you put a 1st stage with rocket engine to reach that speed, and then turn on the ramjet for cruise mode, not superfast, but it will increase its range.
>>

Ramjets also require air to function and won't work/as well in a high-altitude environment.

Your resource bases should only be in play once, when they're initially constructed.

It might just be my pragmatic mind speaking, but why is it an issue that your resource bases are piss-ugly?
In the campaign, they're effectively just flags on the map, never to be seen or interacted with, their only purpose being to fill up your resource stores.
Instead of meticulously designing a resource base you'll only see for 10 minutes, why not dedicate your autism to combat vessels?
After all, that is what you'll be spending 95% of the campaign watching - unless you alt-tab after the 50th walkover at one-digit FPS.

>At that point though why would I play campaign?
If your sole fun in the campaign is a pretty resource base, then keep on truckin'.

It's the fucking military they can do whatever they get all the money they want. However, there are designs for cheapish jet turbines that are designed only to last as long as the missile needs to go. Rather interesting as the turbine is designed to operate as it burns away.
>>158353750
Jet engines need intakes too
>>158353940
Going supersonic means more fuel consumption because of wave drag. Main point of a cruise missile is to blow up a target far inland after being launched from a boat, making fuel efficiency more important than speed in some cases

>tfw there are no /egg/ game where you can fuck around with blocks' internals to your hear's desire like with vehicles in Cataclysm DDA
Seriously though, a space voxel game where you put down variety of "frames", from solid metal to scaffolding then put (some) internal systems in them, "shaping" modules that turn a truss cube into a passage, or part of it, or even a door. Anyway, you then connect stuff with ductwork, cables and whatnot, which are automatically laid through the skeleton of the vessel, whether immediately and constantly updating as you build it, or laid down at the last steps of building. Then, finally, you put hull/armor plates on the frames and, maybe, put "frames" solid metal on top of that armored frame for even more durability.
Systems and hull would finally flow into each other nicely and smoothly.

When most stuff gets hot it deforms when exposed to forces. Crystals break, they don't deform. That's good in a jet engine because it's hot and the forces are constant.

It also shows why making jet engines is a very difficult from a engineering, research and economic standpoint. There are very little big advances in jets because there isn't anything else to change or do, so companies have to painstakingly improve things that are already there (And that were already improved before).

frames do a small portion of what you want:
you can put covers on each side individually to shape what the sides look like(not sure about properties like hardness or explosion resistance). You can't do much in the way of internals though, there are frames with integrated item pipes or redstone(signal) connections but that's it.
You can't really do internals as you describe them without engineering your engine from the ground up to include that. Also, how do you imagine the UI? It seems like it'd be hard to make an UI that shows both the blocks as well as the internals. Something like FtD with a seperate building mode might work.

it parallels non-rotational mechanics

F = ma
(\Tau) = I(\alpha)

v = v0 + at
(\omega) = (\omega)0 + (\alpha)t

etc.

same with electricity and magnetism

oscillating circuits can be solved with a differential equation that parallels the pendulum equation

the equation that gives the force on one particle due to another particle's charge is identical to the force on one object due to another object's gravitational field, etc.

Generators are outside of containment, so unless the turbine rotational plane is square with the walls of containment it would also not cause a radioactive material release. Most containment buildings are also round, so it would be a conscious decision for that kind of alignment to happen. Also most reactor vessels are below the ground, since they have a deep pool of water on top of them, so even then the material release would be stupidly small.

Not impossible, but it would be a fuckup that started before the first brick was laid. It'd need to be either a soviet shitshow like Chernobyl or a first-generation boiling water reactor that needed to be shut down decades ago like Fukushima.

Why should I take out DWG first?
Considering that I can only fight one battle at a time, it is in my best interest to head for the factions that are aggressive, or have powerful end-game designs.
In that campaign, I stacked the cards against me before I made my first aggressive move, and LH/OW/WF turned out to be the most frequent attackers. (see pic)
Keeping in mind that resources were non-issue, killing off OW/WF early seemed like a sensible option.

Sure, had there not been that "only one battle at a time" limitation, I could've simply spawned more fleets and rolled over every faction - but FtD cannot into performance.

What's the easiest way to grind down ships for components in spengs? In zero g, space.
Hand grinding is slow as hell, and when I use ships with grinders they push the other ships away.

It seems ships are not affected by gravity generators, so I can't just let them fall into a pit.

>reduce weight or make it stiffer
i cant make it stiffer becuse the shaking comes from the pistons and rotors reaching its wobble limits, and the legs are incomplete, compare the webum to that pic, and you will see that more than a half of its leg is missing.
I remember using gyroscopes long ago, instead of pistons and rotors for the movement, its the heaviest block, but it could calm the shake.
Might try that.
