I can almost guarantee that the majority of people here can't. I'm running a i7-4770k at 5.1 and a 980ti and it lags like all fuck by mid medieval on Huge maps let alone Gigantic 20 civilizations.

The game is incoherent because you spent most of it taking decisions where there is one obvious correct answer.
I'm not surprised a c2c baby would go as far as to deny coherence is a concept.

>The game is incoherent because you spent most of it taking decisions where there is one obvious correct answer
By this idea Civ V isn't coherent on Deity because there's an optimal build order almost all of the time and there are units that are almost worthless compared to others. It also means EU and CK are incoherent because the decisions have a correct answer if you're going to play for efficiency.
I don't really remember it being a thing to begin with in C2C, what decisions do you have where only one is optimal? You mean the build list? That's because you build those 50 hammer things eight at a time by the time you're Ancient Era. What you're looking for is clutter, which I agree is annoying especially when starting new cities.

>come the fuck on now, there's nothing more accurate about c2c than about vanilla civ
But it does act as a simulator. It simulates disease and crime and pollution. It simulates, say, lemons stopping scurvy. It simulates tribes popping out of fucking nowhere (revolutions). Its combat system is far superior to Civ IV's. It simulates hunting and the importance of your start and makes resources incredibly important as was historical. It has tech diffusion and stuff. All of this is shit civilization would never include because the aim of civilization isn't to simulate, it's to play a 4x game kind of sort of grounded in history.
Do you think MEIOU is incoherent too? It sure doesn't match up to EU4's vision well.
I'm tired as fuck I haven't slept in 40 hours

Not sure if it applies only to 'civilian' ships, but although a science vessel of mine got into a battle as soon as it entered a system, the ship just opened up the wormhole and just ran out of there using it, instead of having to wait for the 30 day counter for Emergency FTL to be available.

If ships can now 'escape' from battle by just charging up their normal FTL drives, I can see why Hyperspace lost its ability to warp out from anywhere in the system.

I might be missing something, but the AI are behaving super aggressively towards me.

In every game they declare a surprise war within the first 40-50 turns, and start moving assloads of basic warriors towards me.
At this point I only have around 2-3 warriors.
And it doesn't matter how friendly I get with these civs, they always war me within this timeframe and if I beat them back either they war me again some 30 turns later or another neighbour wars me and shuffles ungodly amounts of troops towards me.
In my first game it was France and Spain, in my current game it's Congo

each luxury affect 4 cities by giving them +1 amenity

easiest I can describe it is

2x Diamond = 8 cities with + 1
1 Diamond and 1 Mercury = 4 cities with +2 OR 8 cities with +1

luxuries are automatically distributed between your cities that needs it the most

Anyway to make Civ 6 proper borderless windowed? As in it goes over the taskbar as well.

Way it works now is it doesn't go over the taskbar and a bit of the bottom gets cut off. Hiding the taskbar fixes it but that's annoying to have to do that every time to play Civ. I might just play the game in a windowed mode if there's no solving this.

Options menu is as follows;

>UI- only 2 options, force low UI defenition (on or off) and 3 color palette options including color blind mode for the retards
>Controls- pretty much what you'll see in every other game

TECH RATE compared to PRODUCTION is shit. Why am I outpacing every other civ in tech when I didn't build a single science district/building? Why am I unlocking districts/units/wonders faster than I can construct them?

UI is shit.

MAP is shit.

AI is shit.

DIPLOMACY is shit.

BARBS are OMEGA shit.

I ended up winning this game by just putting all my big major cities on producing face and spamming Disciples/Missionaries. King Kong was working on his space ship by the time I got back Norway in my religious sphere and took the victory.

It's kind of interesting that producing district bonuses has it's uses, but a Religious victory definitely gets much more difficult the bigger the map is, and probably reaching extremely hard if you're doing a 12 civ game.

The AI also acts extremely fucking retarded towards religion and I don't know if it's that way with any victory condition, but because you can just play passive aggressive bitchmode with Disciples/Missionaries and even if you're 9/10 Civs controlled by your religion the last guy or nobody at all declares war on you and starts trying to take your religious units. It's kind of stupid as shit.

Once your empire expands to include that ocean tile on the west, you can build a harbor district there. After the harbor district is complete you can spawn naval units there instead of your capital. Yup. Choose the pirate in the shadow age start and you have pretty much that. It's REALLY heavy simulation. It's got mods up the wazoo including Star Trek in various eras... Stellaris is purdy, DW is really immersive.

One pet peeve I have with the game:

Why did they go out of their way to rename the Diplomatic victory a Religious victory? Not trying to sound fedora or anything, but converting everyone to your religion being a win condition sounds extremely silly. And if diplo is needed for it anyway, it makes loads more sense to unite the world behind a common leader instead of a common religion.

Because diplomatic victory kinda needs the congress stuff which aint in the game yet.
Religious isn't really less sensible than the rest of the victory conditions though.
No matter how insanely well advertised your nation's culture is, you'll still only affect a minority of the population of other nations, as it's easy to villify something that is popular because it is popular.
And beating somebody to specific close-space exploration milestones by a couple of years is hardly going to cause the rest of the world to bow down.

I was watching a a lets play and it did have that information. for some reason they took it out.

the games good but it really dropped the ball in the information department. That's one thing civ v managed to do really well.

>trying to sort through your cities or see the yield of a district

I fucking wish districts were selectable and you could see a small screen there.

then again I always figure a civ game is going to launch with some annoyances, It takes the first patch to make the game good, and a couple of expansions to make it great.

At least this is far and away better than V's launch.

>>
>>158081287
Yeah there is a lot of noise going on in the background at all times.
Say you research a new engine, it uses a certain type of gas. To fuel your ship you go to a space station. Whether or not the space station has the gas in stockpile depends on its capacity and how much it has received from gas mining ships directly, or from freight delivered. Whether or not those mining ships are getting anything depends on how much gas of a certain kind is left in stars/nebulas/whatever, and whether or not each of the hundred ships mining it survive the military presence pirating them.

This is ALL automated in the background. You just control your nation, your primary infrastructure, your diplomacy and your military/expansion. You can also choose to automate nearly all of that shit and fly around in a single ship if you want. Though you'll still be tied to your nation as a whole and can take back control whenever you want.

Legitimate spoiler tags for how absolutely basic of a game it is in certain aspects and how you can absolutely out-compete the AI on every level imaginable:

set taxes to 0, that's literally it.(well, and beeline the early happiness boosting techs) It's one of those games where taxrate negatively affects population growth. So for the first ten years or so, you don't tax them a single cent, survive on what little you have to buy through a small amount of cash received from your corporate sector renting your manufacturing facilities, or by short bursts of high taxation. Eventually you'll have reached max population on your planet about an order of magnitude quicker than any other AI nation in the galaxy. Then you set taxes to high. And that same order of magnitude of separation is represented in your income compared to theirs.

It is clearly available as something you can choose between(growth or money), but the way it works means that it's clearly exploitable.
Depending on your setup I'd just avoid using it at all.(If you and everyone else start pre-warp for example.) Just use it to catch up if you set other civilizations to already be advanced.

I can't say too much about the AI really. The game is actually really simple, I don't really like it personally.
There is a TON going on and I admire that, but nothing by itself has much depth.
I don't believe there are any negatives to automating anything beyond the fact that a stupid AI is making decisions instead of a player.

>>158084694
districts production cost scales with how many cities you have and is the only limit to going wide there is.

Thousands of gold isn't so bad for a unit to pop out of thin air in the lategame. You should be making hundreds a turn in most games.

GPs cost gold/faith fractional to how many GP points you've earned. They're really expensive if you've zero points, they're like 20% off if you're 20% progressed towards earning them.
It's kinda a bidding war of sorts with other players, offering a buyout if somebody REALLY wants a certain GP.

god damn there is so much overlooked shit in this game
>>
man nuclear weapons in this game are not fucking around
>>
>>158085242
I agree, districts are fun!
>>
>>158085652
can silos be shot at with a nuke and shoot back?
>>
>>158085801
I dunno, I just dropped a thermonuclear on the conquistador of many missionaries and his capital dropped to 3 pop from like 18
then I accidentally learned that fallout lasts for 15 turns and deals 50 damage every turn to anything standing in it
>>
brazil seems shit

you get so many great people you have no space
>>
How long does war weariness last?
>>
What are these things? The archaeologist stuff? Tooltip doesn't say anything.
>>
>>158086461
I'm still waiting for a mod that'll remove Brazil from the game.
>>
Civ VI is so hard, I'm a veteran civ player but this AI is fucking brutal.
>>
>>158086543
they give you relics if you excavate them with archaeologists. you need a museum to build the unit.
>>
>>158086590
My must have mods
>Anime mod for all leaders so I can turn off the animations and not deal with the shitty double screen
>Quotes mod so I don't lose my shit every time at Mining and Kilmanjaro and that Roman AC one
>UI mod holy shit it's so bad
>terrain texture mod so you can actually see what it happening
>>
>>158086785
>Anime mod for all leaders so I can turn off the animations and not deal with the shitty double screen
Look under options
>>
>>158086829
No that's the option I'm talking about and why I know it works to stop the double screen but I feel bad doing it when they still have an animation and look like shit moving or still
>>
>>158086785
The guy who said the mining quote didn't mean it in a feminist way
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVvRUxP59XE
>>
>>158086785
>UI mod holy shit it's so bad
This, why is it so hard to get any fucking information
You forgot
>unit cycling meme
>can't rebind camera
>civpedia only in-game
>>
>>158087003
I don't care if he meant it in a feminist way that's not even how I heard it it just sounds retarded and is an altogether shitty quote, it has next to nothing to do with actual mining, it isn't funny, it isn't inspiring or grand, it's bland as fuck and uninteresting and is fucking confusing to even understand what it's supposed to mean if you don't know where it's from
>>
>>158085242
being gay is good retard
>>
>>158087107
desu yeah a lot of them suck
No where near as good as the quotes from the last two Civs
>>
>>158087220
wtf!!! Im a #faghag now
>>
>>158087220

being retarded is good fag.
>>
>>158087107
The song isn't supposed to be about actual mining you stupid fuck. Read the title of the song. Nor is it supposed to be inspiring or grand. I just listed to this for the first time and I understood it in its entirety. You're either retarded or English isn't your first language.
>>
>>158080436

>seen bean
>Irish
>>
>>158087345
It's not about mining, it's about a miner's wife, the guy who wrote the song is the one who they got the quote for mining from. I don't get your point.
>>
>>158087345
>listened
No you dumbass, just the line "who deserves more credit than the wife of a coal miner" alone when you hear it in game. You don't need to have actually read Tolkein to understand the 'not all who wander are lost' line or have read Homer to understand his quotes

>it's not about mining
Then why the fuck is it the quote for mining? It's about the miner's wife, make it the quote for family, or don't because it doesn't make any sense

>nor is it supposed to be inspiring or grand
It's not funny either it's just a shit bland quote all around.

Is this nigger serious?

The AI really needs to figure out when they've lost, and give them a reason to not remove them from existence when they've decided to declare war on me for literally not a single good reason, and then incessantly beg for mercy every single turn after the tide of battle had turned on them.
>>
>>158087543
That's literally what I just said

>>158087665
All of your points are invalid,so invalid that I'm not even going to explain why. People like you just disgust me.
>>
>>158087914
lol
>>
I wish that city tile expansion worked the way it did in Civ IV, where they grew one tile in every direction and then one tile again after cultural thresholds were met. There could be a casus belli for taking territory that belongs to another city that one of your cities could also use for when things got cramped, and there wouldn't be so much goddamn empty space for barbs to spawn in forever.
>>
Can you see how many cities other civs have built? You can see their military score, faith, etc. but can't find how many cities they have

>literally if you kill your enemies, they win
That sounds like loser talk to me son.
>>
>play emperor first playthrough to learn
>150 turns brazil has 0(zero) cultural districts in any of his cities

all AI seem weak in terms of districts
>>
>>158088169
They only build warriors and settlers to fight with.
>>
>>158081904
Cheats are always built into the game by default.

If they weren't then that would be a mod.
>>
>>158088108
Saladin was literally one of the only based Muslims in existence.
>>
>>158075205
Fuck yeah. Next turn ill be raping the greeks. Although they have about 10 hoplites inbound on one of my cities. Wish me luck

And how do you access it? I don't see anything after enabling it.

A coal miner.
>>
Technology is fucking boring. I think I will focus on culture on most of my games, gives actually cool stuff instead of just some newer military unit.
>>
Whats the point of planes Deploying to a tile? You can't combine them and they seem bound tot he same distance as their home base lets them go. What the point? To let you shuffle units through? I guess I can see them being useful by quickly deploying to a tile to defend something or stop enemy movement
>>
I still dont get the Amneties system.
If I have multiples of a resource, can I just trade them away?
