So I don't play much and I'm wondering which direction to go. It honestly feels like the game is leading me by the hand at this point.

Any advice for a fairly new-ish player? I feel like investing heavily in unique ardor stones might be the way to go, but maybe I should gamble all of my money on scouts to find a better goalkeeper. That thunder loli is actually the best I've got.

First things first, get a proper GK. I'd recommend Angela since you already have Kevin, which will buff her thanks to her chain.

Don't jump directly to invest on uniques, it's better to focus on that once you get a stable team working to invest on, and then focus your resources on stones.

For your front, Milky Way, Elaine and Renee are superb options to replace Veronica, since one of her skills is thunder only it's kind of a waste.

Your midline is fine, only need to swap Cynthia for something like Lia, Sky or Metatron if you're lucky enough to roll her.

You should consider on changing Verister, she isn't good off color. Yuri, Kiki, Virgil, Gaphyl, Death Queen are good options for backlines in general.

I beat this with Beatrice last year using "kill vivid fear" method.

That seems almost inconceivable now. They seem 50% more powerful from what I remember last time. It would take a fuckload of enervation just to reach their 2015 base stats.

They are easier than ever. This is true for all bosses thanks to Elaine buffs and ardor stones.

2015 it was stacking EBM. 2016 is just stacking Elaines and regular ardor DI stones. 100% of the games content is OHKO clearable with just Sharr/Elaine and those stones. The game is going down a deadend street (again).

DI needs to be capped (can't drive opponent below 0% DR, or make DI non-stacking and only use the single highest source) and then re-balance all PVE content.

And about Victoria's chains, no. Two of the same kind of chain (Affection, friendshp, rival and nemesis) don't proceed, so even with both in the team, the chain would activate only once.

Keep Kevin and Silk, they're both very good.
Magnus and Kiki used to be a staple combo, but they've been replaced in high leagues, but for starters they're still good.
By the time you get Angela, you should focus on getting DQ.

Not really, even if Gaphyl is broken. Backlines nowadays are shit because there's far too much damage going around to the point that no survival totems will help you tank multiple shots as was the case prior to the 7* patch.

You can go full CR totems and get some survival that way, but you're still at the mercy of RNG since the best totems rely on stacks.

It's all about mid and to a lesser extent frontlines nowadays. Good frontlines are pretty much Elaine-X-X-(X) :^)
