One and three would definitely be nice. Two seems like a big stretch.

More hand placed items would be cool on maps that lack them. More varied side quests like SoC had would be good too.

Lastly have most side quests doable in the same zone (except assassination type stuff), as well as rewarded stashes showing up in the same zone or at most one zone over. Maybe this last bit isn't necessary, idk.

Good idea, I've always wanted something similar - a way for the individual player to become neutral/friendly with factions.

The Dynamic Factions mod doesn't do this, instead it just makes weird swings in faction vs faction relations, not player vs faction relations.

I do think some combinations should be impossible, though...you already excluded Monolith/Bandit, I also don't think Duty and Freedom should ever be able to become neutral/friendly with any member of the other faction. Loners and Mercs would have the least restrictions since they aren't really factions to begin with (or shouldn't be in an ideal game).

Something that changes a good few things about the game since I want something that doesn't play like vanilla with sprinkles.
I've played ZoA and liked it at first, but some shitty design decisions and all those fucking crashes pissed me off too hard to keep playing it.

I would think you would be able to edit animations for weapons if the animation enters the "resting" state of the weapon in between replacing a magazine and pulling back the operating handle without having to add anything, but i'm not sure. I don't know why, but in CoC 1.4.10 with AO3 things are seeming ridiculously bullet spongey. I'm on master, but firing at your average stalker in a freedom suit seems to take 4 or 5 shots to the chest with my AKM firing 7.62. Not even gonna describe the slog against a bandit in an exo. My SVT also had similar issues.

Did I mess up install or something? I swear combat was more lethal in the last version.

AE is super stable and doesn't crash at all beyond the old AMK Yantar bug, but that is super rare. It has working blowouts from AMK and you can take add many tasks as you want. Got something like 30k rubles from ammo and weapons alone, with more stashed. Haven't sold monster parts as of yet. Also saved some Loner from being executed by Monolith, so I patched him up, recruited him, and brought him back to Rostok.

I'm pretty sure that one of the reasons enemies still feel bulletspongy at any damage level is that when they aim at you, their hands/arms will block bullets you aim at their face/neck, and since their arms take ~10% damage, they can keep this up for a good while. I thought this game had bullet penetration, but does it not have bullet penetration on living characters?

I turned on healthbars and sniped at unaware bandits to test this.

Also since the player character takes full damage from any shot to any location barring fingers while enemies (with coc/ao at least) take 0.8 damage from chest shots, only full from neck shots, and take only 0.05 from hand shots, buckshot and wild spraying from enemies is extremely lethal while head armor is much less important than body armor.

So that's why I keep getting sniped by enemies I can't see even with the magical enemy-seeking binoculars. I hope that's also the reason I keep getting sniped by grenades from monolithians who haven't seen me as well. Time to spend another 10 hours finding no basic tools before I have 100k rubles.
