In other game news, Alternative girls is getting a version update on October 25th. On the 27th, there will be a forced update check and everyone will need to update before continuing to play.

Whats New:

- New Content "Heavenly Moon's Trials" in preparation.
- Alterna Coins implemented, alongside items that can be exchanged using them, you get Alterna coins from selling characters away.
- Gift Box sort feature
- Enrolled member count will be increased by 100 (If you already purchased box expansions, it will be increased by 100 as well.) up to a maximum of 300.
- Team Composition's "Recommended Formation" feature will take leader skills into account when creating a team.
- Charm Seal's "Bulk Sale" feature and "Weapon Type Recommended" feature added.
- When a player levels up, stamina will recover by the maximum amount instead. (Stamina Overflow, in other words.)
- During battle, the battle count will be displayed and attack rendering settings can be changed.
Outfits worn in the "Episodes" will change to match the member's story screen.
- Changes to the order of the power up screen's items.
- From various quests and the Training Field, changes are made such that high defense main members are more likely to be attacked (slightly). (This will be applied to Events and Virtual Tower after 10/28.

After the forced update time, this following change will be added:

- Affection Level max characters will have additional intimacy gains added to their total, despite being capped.


We should be getting the new Halloween event+gacha in like a hour.

The start of Story 2 is easier than Story 1 in some cases. You can start on it once you get all of the 1-stars for the normal class, but even before that is fine.
Eventually, pounding out 200 combo will only be difficult because everything dies before you reach that count.

Supposedly the patch that gives us skills is supposed to re-balance equipment stats greatly. They are also adding in tactics that give -80% to equip stats and 60%+ to base stats. If equips stay as relatively weak as they are there would be no reason ever go with the other weaker versions that have no downside.

Can't help but feel that the effort would have been much better invested in boosting Leviathan or Bahamut, but that's the tricks timed exclusives play on you... The whole process burned about 60 Metal Tickets even with PDZ, all for some makeshift healer for Luck-teams.

BGHS is honestly a good mobage. The major issue is that there's not much incentive to grind like Granblue, doesn't have a bunch of extra material like Idolmaster or Love Live do, and there's nothing really competitive about it. For anyone not just running Trinity members to blow out the boss in a turn or two, if you bring a sword character it will cancel the boss' healing skill. He'll still do the charging turn, but after hitting him it'll emote that they're afraid of swords and end its turn.

I don't know if you just need a sword attack, like from Silver Sword or Celestial Envoy, or if it has to be an actual sword character. I just happened to be SB training ZuZu and noticed it.

Yes, if you're not oneshotting it the first turn ought to be used to kill off the shield. After that there isn't much danger to worry about. The telegraph attacks are weak enough that even poverty luck team isn't at risk if they take the hit.

I'm surprised at all the other media that Colopl is making for BGHS. There's an anime, manga, live event thing, idol CDs, and now a light novel. Is the game even that popular/profitable over there?

Don't forget the Maid Cafe, their booth of merchandise at comiket, the old radio, and the magazine stuff. But these might just be extra things they do to try to give the game exposure, as those who might be good with certain media won't know about navigating others.

My minimal exposure to LN is all lewd, but I guess there's room for other stuff. The anime could still be a lot of various things, but I guess the question is to what extent and how often it will be lewd. It's an opportunity to do things that can't be conveyed with live2D, so hopefully they take advantage of it.

There are plans for an anime. What expectation do you have for the anime?
>Kanon VA: I'm curious how f*f will make their appearance but, personally I think I want to see Kanon's dancing. The daily situation or similar isn't shown in game so I think they may draw more of that so I'm looking forward to it!

What was your first impression of BGHS?

Personality-wise, the VAs are opposites to their roles. Kanon VA is very mild-mannered, Shiho VA usually talks very fast.

Newest TB art stream had more medieval stuff on it (which supposedly is to finally launch in November), as well as Seiryu^. Sadly I guess we can expect him to be another 50 Flawless Helix + rare Luck monster (PDZ?) + 5 rare Luck drops (Leviathan Fangs?) recode at this point, so it's a little hard to give a damn for possibly many more months to come. Which is quite the bummer, given that he'd be an easy instant-100L unit/upgrade.

Guess the burning twin-drills have to do until then, mildly optimistic that that medieval scenario might turn out well given how long they've been working on it and how fairly balanced Battle Champs has been.

There's arguably a lot of pressure on it, given its expected cost and the current meta. Dark type is pretty much the weak little brother of Graviton by now, and the skill options Seiryu^ would gladly inherit are kinda scarce. Shadowbind is pretty much just utility for Metal Zones, his only special AoE is Tier1 in power, Rake might not fit into his new direction anymore and the +5% Dragon buff is rarely properly utilized and a poor man's 10% buff.

With that, you'd be likely to run Seiryu^ with Dark Matter, Abyss, Shadow Pincer-Ring and a fourth filler skill. If that's his expected base, he pretty much requires Mutoh^ tier skills on his recode to be worth the effort and price: Peta-Darkness, Dark Matter with special AoE and maybe even a Tap-skill. Given that Mizell^ already has a Magic-tap, I fear a repeat of the latter is a little unlikely. Personally, I'd love to see "MAtk x1.5" for novelty, which would instantly turn Seiruy^ into a pretty interesting unit and take a lot of pressure of his other skills requiring powercreep.
