they end the game with 2 or 3 shots of dmg on average even if they win

it's just so hard to get more than a couple shots of damage in those kind of games because it's either their team suiciding against my team or my team suiciding and then the rest of us getting rushed - either way I won't get much shots in either

So the question was, how to abuse those retard strategies without getting pulled into their pace?
In many cases it's impossible to go to good positions because most of the team goes to some irrelevant flank at the beginning of the game like valley on lakeville or beach on overlord. Then all it comes down to is, which team has less people going to useless positions.

Flanks / Locations that are strategically worthless or nub traps:

>Lakeville, valley - isolated (i.e. can't shoot at other flanks from there), bad terrain, easy to defend even against superior numbers
>Overlord, beach - isolated, easy to get shot at, little to shoot at, little cover
>Abbey, eastern flank by the river - guaranteed lockdown, mostly isolated flank, easy to defend, extremely vulnerable position to come out from
>Prokorovka / Fiery Salient, 1 line without any scouts
>Swamp, heavies going south from north spawn - guaranteed loss because of inferior positioning since tanks from north usually arrive just a few seconds too late for the good positions, also quite vulnerable to come out of this flank


You guys do something useful for once and post some more with explanation why they are bad.

Scouting is a pretty randomized job, sometimes I do great, 99% of the time I don't. But more or less, on open maps like Prohorovka I can do a nice job even if I'm tier V and it goes all the way up to VIII. But what do I do in heavily urbanized maps, or ones where there are many hills and corners, where my scouting is useless because no fight is fought at distances larger than 100m? Peeking around corners usually means a very fast death, especially since I can't turn the turret in my ELC.

unless you heavily outnumber the enemy, south spawn on swamp will always win that corner since they get into more and better positions faster, allowing them to shoot the tanks coming from north from multiple directions

often, after south spawn has won that corner though, they push out from there and get rekt by tanks camping on the hill

watch it closely next time, there is no winning there for north spawn, in fact the only thing you can do on that map is camp hard if you are north spawn

Simple.
First you go to some location where there is typically enemy tanks passing by. You can get there faster than them. You will get one shot of dmg for free there and then back off. If you are lucky some of them might stop there or follow you and get shot by your team while they wait for you to come out again and you even get some spotting damage.
Next you wait for the flanks to establish and look at the minimap for flanking or sniping opportunities. Since you are fast you can switch flanks easily.
Lastly, the longer you survive the better your light tank will become on those maps, since towards the end there will be less enemy tanks and more freedom for you to move around and suprise enemies or finish them.
Overall, definitely priorize not getting shot at all over actually shooting stuff. Relocating to even just get 1 shot of damage in is worth it.
