Xenoblade X performed around the same level of the original in spite of the Wii U's lower userbase, it just didn't end up with the same fanbase due to going for a different direction (so liking the original doesn't mean liking X, and vice-versa).

As for Wii U games, Star Fox was a bust, and the Mario games in general were hurt by their attempt to unify all of them under the NSMB brand aesthetics, outside of Mario Kart. Still, we did get Mario Maker, Splatoon, Smash. HW did well worldwide although underperforming in Japan...

Really good actually. Gameplay changes are great and different for once, dungeons are actually fun to explore, and the writing's hilarious. Story's basic but it works.

The weakest point is that the gameplay progression is all over the place since the missions are nonlinear and you can do pretty much whatever you want in whatever order you want past a point, so you wind up going between dungeons that you can absolutely stomp and dungeons that are actually at your level or slightly above it. At least the ones you can go through easily have an attraction other than the mobs for once.

As a LP let me tell you of something I just realize: what we know are largely affected by what kind of segment the uploader put there. I'm in chapter 7, the LP I use only show the CG event of Noire and the generals. I tried using my old LP for 1080p and I'm surprised to find 'harem-like' interraction this game actually has. Like every general are somehow have feeling for secretary (which my current LP did not include).

It's more comparable to one of the RPGs than anything else. Story is basic but the character banter is fucking gold. Gameplay wise the battle system is better than the V-based gameplay of the R;Bs but takes getting used to. Dungeons are a lot better than in any other Nep game despite the assets.
