I don't think it's likely monsters bleed either, but it can be useful to get things across in art. Them not bleeding works well in the game because RPG enemy sprites rarely do so and you have actual numbers and a life meter to portray damage, but in art I can see why people would use it and nothing in the game outright denies it.

Who else here wants to sniff the fluffy damp pits of a goat mom after a long day? I bet she'd be tired and would appreciate a little tickle or massage of those strained, deep-pocketed pits~
