The faster way is to waste 10 turns and come back again (only 2 floor for David) and kill him in 1-2 turns. You need to gauge how much HP he has left though.

Plenty is an ambiguous word. It has a bit, but we wouldn't want a repeat of IV where too long happens without any real progression. By modern standards it would really need to be given more depth to reach its full potential. There's no reason for a remake if its going to have marginally better graphics, and the only reason for the shift is the better gameplay. If you want that, just play IVA, skip its cutscenes, and watch IIs cutscenes on youtube. The reason no one translates the ps1 remakes is because they are too similar to matter. If we want a remake, it can't be a port with mild changes. It needs to be a total overhaul. One whose story has so much depth that even someone who played II itself is surprised at some of its plot points, despite them being built around IIs existing plot.

Like IIs endings. Lets be honest. The last cutscenes were dubious at best. the only thing making tis endings tolerable is the cutscenes leading up to it for the last bosses. But lets be honest. Those weren't presented with infinite epicness and depth. Part of thinking they are is taking the idea of them, and imagining their full potential. It would be a waste to make a remake that falls flat since its plot seems too minimalistic for a modern game. It would be a disastrous repeat of IV.

We need expansions on the characters. Expansions on the themes of mysticism. Hell, add in flashbacks like were in soul hackers. And add in something megaten games sorely lack. Scenes with characters who aren't the main character. Like the added scenes in II show, those expositional scenes can be some of the best ones, that provide much better context that is lacked without them. Add in a fanservice scene where you play as hero in I. Add in a scene from before the nukes. Add in a scene where you play as michael fighting lucifer at the beginning of time. Expand the story to like xenosaga involve things that stretch the entire length of history. Expand the japanese gods role. etc.

And yes, there are some mentions of devil summoners but the demon population seems to basically be nada and the few demons that are around hugely out power most people. See Izanami and such which weren't nearly as encompassing powers in mainline.

I honestly don't think a summoner can be a persona user. There's a reason it hasn't happened before in the series and more than likely it's a compatibility thing, you can either control demons or a persona. Not both.
