Are people seriously expecting Blizzard to invest significant amounts of time, money and human resources into publishing an official version of a deprecated game? How the fuck would you justify that to their players? It's bad enough when Blizzard recycles an old dungeon or raid as current content, rehashing an entire version of the game from 2004 would be retarded.
I get that people are nostalgic for Vanilla WoW, but the 40man Molten Core event was great evidence that yes, while nostalgic content can be fun, it doesn't have any staying power.
What are you gonna do in a relaunched VanillaWoW once the hardcore players rush to 60 and clear Naxx within the first month? It's not like anyone is going to be experiencing the Vanilla content with fresh eyes like we did 12 years ago, and that was the primary reason as to why it was so fun. Fresh vanilla servers cannot recreate the experience of travelling across the Barrens for the first time.
And what of the quality of life improvements? Obviously there would be no group finder, transmog, mount and pet collections, dual spec, modern day anti-hacks, colorblind settings, etc. Vanilla WoW certainly is not up to their 2016 mission statement standards, they would be knowingly selling a flawed product and there are a laundry list of business practice problems with that. Would updating the QoL features for Vanilla ruin the nostalgia?
And what about the fact that 3/4s of specs during Vanilla that were mathematically infeasible? How would you deal with the fact that an equally geared Rogue would do triple the damage of a Feral Druid? Or the fact that an Arms Warrior could routinely 1-shot a cloth wearer? Should Blizzard balance classes, or would that ruin the nostalgia?
If the 200k or so Nostralius players represented the demand for a vanilla client and vanilla servers, that is 2% of the current total population and developing content aimed at 2% of your customers would be a textbook example of a bad decision.

Archeage broke my heart. I didn't play with /vg/, /aag/ was pure cancer. But goddamn it was so fucking good at first.
Even with hating Trion I'd go back if they opened a fresh server with no cash shop, but chances of that are 0%. Stories about how much money whales have dropped on that game are easily googled and are fucking astonishing.

I really don't know if I should buy into this meme. It is objectively superior to the standard layout in PvP because it lets you evalue your HP, your target's HP, debuffs and other things much quicker, but on the other hand I've been trying to keep my UI as vanilla as possible for the last 6 years, so I know I would feel weird as fuck playing with my bars moved.

Yes, you could spend the 4 points from Silent Resolve into Mental agility for the mana efficiency.
Heal aggro isn't really an issue outside of some trash pulls.

You're not pulling healer aggro with that spec.

Make sure to switch to a more holy orientated spec once ZG progression arrives.
