It does. I play a lot of Kench in his three roles, and even though the CS you get on him is a lot different as a top, support or jungle, you can still get a good rank as long as you have better than average CS for that role.

Just keep a mental note of the location of the incoming wave for the lane. Check the map if you need to, you can see where the next wave should be.

The entire game revolves around timing around when the wave "crashes" (they join the previous wave) and where. The where isn't as important to begin with, though, just the when.

It looks like you have when you should rotate down, but you are probably spending too long in transition. That is, not farming any wave or the jungle. This is bad as it usually means there is "free" gold on the map that is going to waste.

So maybe you need to pull the trigger faster on your ult, or leave the lane sooner after the gank.

Another important thing to know is lane management. Most important thing is to make sure to push whatever lane you are in before you base. Doesn't matter who's lane it is.

Fuck them. No one own's the farm on the map, it is just unspoken formality as to who gets what.

So long as you are not hogging gold, or starving a teammate from that or exp, it doesn't matter. What matters more is denying the enemy the gold of your wave. There is no denying in LoL (rip parrley), so the tower is the best way to kill your wave.

I've left out a bit:

easiest way is to count the caster minions. More minions=more push.

I'm fairly certain the ranking is based off of population sample, so pretty much a rank versus stats of the same champion from other players.

The tweaking can be wonky, but its consistent at least. Snowbally champs like say Akali should have steep rankings, so relatively it is harder to get an S+ with the same performance as on say, Sivir with the same kill/death/assist.

That being said, it can be dumb sometimes. It ranks support play very poorly,

"supportive" carries (Sivir, GP) vs hard carries (cait, draven) is bad too. Sivir and GP get stupid amount of assist so it throws it off a lot.

Best bet is:

>kill participation rate

It is just something you pick up on as you play. The thing with league (and related games) is that you can always learn something new from the next game. The way you improve is actively looking for what there is to learn, be it match ups, item paths, rotations, etc.

There's no easy way to deal with it though. Because people have spent so much IP on them and also RP on rune pages, if you scrap them now people are going to be pissed off in a big way because all that time, effort, and even real money is now gone. They would have ripped off millions of people. It could literally be the thing that kills their game once and for all if they don't handle it properly.

So they have to think up some kind of alternate system that somehow transfers over the IP and RP spent on runes for each player. That's not an easy thing to do.
