I believe the buttcanon shouldn't become a common occurence, make it an event, like Jhen's sand blast. It could also do the Daimyo backcharge and "jump" (instead of jumping it falls down hard on hunters)

In my head canon I thought each flagship was representing one generation, since they are introduced in a different gen map (Astalos + F&Hills; Gammoth + A.Ridge; Mizutsune + M.Peaks; Glavenus + J.Frontier (which is a 4th gen exclusive map)). Also, the only flagship that got to the cover and got a Deviant is Glavenus, which would make sense if it was representative of current gen, and not 3rd.

Glavenus being representative of 3rd is oddly arbitrary for me.

I'm only being hard on Gen because it failed Capcom and it failed me

Gen is a beautiful game with diverse gaming aesthetic, it hurts me to see it fail.
But because I love it alot I also have to be hard on it. MHG needed more work. It needed a story, better balancing, the management should have been more nice on people who are new to the series. No one is going to buy a house that is trashed to hell and is a chore to get around.
2016 gaming in general is why I jumped ship to dungeons and dragons. I am just over the bullshit

I mostly speak in terms of design.

Gammoth is fun to fight, but I think its design and name are basic and lazy in that order. The name we can probably chalk up to Translator though.

Glavenus is cool though. I really like the design and the things it does. The tail sharpening is really cool, the fire tail - while kinda feeling unessasary - was cool.
But I think Glavenus would have been much much cooler had he not had the fire tail or breath on him first and be more tail attack focused, and then made the Glavenus we have now with the constant fireblight, the fire tail, and the fire breath be the variant with some of the actual Glavenus variant's traits.

but I personally find him a pain in the ass to fight with his range and constant fire blight.

Striker with one evade (mainly because I didn't unlock the other one yet). Main reason is exactly to git gud and have fun doing it, so I try to use GPs to get through attacks, instead of just spamming the evade HAs. I'm also trying to craft as many weapons as possible before ranking up, so I can use that opportunity to get a better grasp at reading base attacks from the monsters.

As a near pure gunner in gen, it's really not as nice as it would seem.
It throws off being able to target weak points, (Which means on deviants it's great, but there's usually something better for deviants) and makes every time the monster turns towards you a surprise.
Also, you're a bow user, and losing those free consistent full charges when adept dodging is harsh.

I'd honestly just recommend save editing for a normal up +5 OOO charm, from personal and gather experience it's annoying as fuck to actually get this time around.
Divine blessing isn't amazing, but it's good on the off chance you might actually get hit, rather than sneak making the hits random.
Null dragon or fire is nice for hyper jho/metal rath breath attacks of "Fuck You, you're dead now"
Trapmaster /can/ be nice, if you're a status gunner, I loved the fuck out of getting a +10 charm of it in 4u, and microbio is pretty good for teo (and hellblade, I think)
It's really just personal, but I actually hated using sneak with bow.

I work for Capcom and we recently came out with a plan for the next monster hunter game. Even when we don't come out with a plan for the next game, we still create more content. Recently monster hunter decided to allow the group feminist frequency to be in control of the production of a single game. The idea of this is that we are showing that we support equality. for HBGs I'm not great at getting a lot of use out of siege mode so I remove the limiter for the damage boost if fighting a faster monster I can't get many siegeworthy openings on and leave it on for bigger slower stuff like elders

its been awhile since I played either so I don't remember but nah I wouldn't consider losing siege to be a big deal the majority of the time, the straight damage boost and increased clip sizes were always enough for me to remove limiter on most of my guns
