Recruitment is being closed off for literal day 1 noobs. This isn't an elitism thing, it's for everyone's benefit. We've been finding that c4 space is not a good environment for brand new players, and a lot of them weren't having a good time. Additionally, we just don't have the resources to build so many people up from nothing into effective wh pilots. As such, we're preferring recruits who have at least 10m sp or thereabouts, or can demonstrate some sort of equivalent experience in eve.

This means that they actually have an idea of what they're signing up for. If someone applies, joins, comes into the chain and only then realises after a week that wormholes actually take a bit of effort to live in, it wastes everybody's time, including theirs.

Learning about the basics of eve (ship names, microskills, etc), wormhole space's complications and also a corporation's mapping/scanning protocol all at the same time is simply too much. It's best for everyone if recruits know what they're signing up for before they commit to a lifetime of autism.
