Is there even any point in bothering to roll any more? I must have gone at least 60, nearly 70 rolls without even so much as a single gold servant. It wouldn't be so bad if it was like other, better mobages, where I know eventually I'm guaranteed to get something. No, now I'm suspecting I might never actually roll another gold servant again because of the horrible gacha. Only reason to keep playing is for welfares at this point.

3% rates mean you would expect a 4* servant every 34 rolls, which means I'm already a huge outlier. Add onto the fact that outside of the one paid gacha I've done I've only rolled 2 5* servants and about 12 4*s with all the story quartz, tickets and maintenance and free quest quartz got, I'm way out of the gacha average. 34 rolls with 4% chance for gold servant would mean that you still have 24.95% chance of not rolling anything.

You can do the math for yourself with the following formula:
X^Y = total chance to fail

X being the chance to fail per single roll, in this case 96%, since there is 4% chance to roll a gold servant.
Y being the number of consecutive rolls.

So in your example case of 34 rolls it's:
0.96^34 =0.2495869
Therefore you have 25% chance to fail with 34 rolls.
Respectively this would mean 5.7% chance to fail with 70 rolls. It's unlucky, but it still happens to a lot of people.
