Last year Puppey was not darkside yet. He was just delusional and overconfident they will bring about the new era of esports with kemal. Kuro saw through Kemal's shit and the relationship between Kuro and puppey went bad when he started confronting him about it. I'm inclined to believe Kuro alienated himself from the rest of the team because he felt he's part of some stupid shit. Puppey still blindly believing in the esports promised land saw that as betrayal and then everyone else left so he got legit paranoia.

At this point he was way too mentally invested into it and his trust in kemal so he just went full retard and turned darkside fueled by delusion and paranoia.

This would also explain why arteezy rejoined secret, I think, and makes more sense than the battered wife syndrome. 2016 puppey was not 2015 puppey but RTZ did not know that yet and EE didn't warn him because he himself was not aware of all this shit at that point.
