This is the first time in worlds I feel like any of the teams can actually take the whole thing, everyone shat on ANX for memepicking but they went fucking 100% standard comp against ROX and still won.

This meta is incredibly volatile, it can honestly end up with ANX vs some korean team as the final or any other combination. I mean sure the korean teams are the favorites but from what ive seen so far ROX which is the super favorite has played incredibly sloppy while SKT1 has played super tight.

All the teams you expect to be super terminator mode, namely the koreans are all super slippery in the early game and thats incredibly uncharacteristic to the region. Typically korean teams have the game on lockdown from minute one vs any non korean / chink team but this is not the case this time around.

Really hype for worlds actually, now that the joke region is gone we are up for some incredible games.

We get our hopes up every time, but most of the time the team lets us down. this season in particular, CLG only made it to worlds because of their performance last split, and really no one should have expected them to do well against any international competition. If SKT wins then Imay is tied scorewise going into their game. C9 needs to win to make it out.

If SKT loses then Imay goes in ahead, so obviously C9 still needs to win. But the problem is that if they DO win, there wont even BE a tiebreaker resulting in the same result as if SKT were to win before. People forget that because of the fact that C9 beating IMay 2 times in a row to force a tiebreaker, the rule regarding this means C9 automatically advances to whatever a win would give them. Its what happened to TSM yesterday. No tiebreaker because to get into the 3-3 score they lost ro RNG 2 times, knocking a tiebreaker situation out the window.

Unless SKT loses to FW AND Imay. then things get pretty fucked. That means that if C9 wins, then SKT is 3-3, Imay is 3-3, C9 is 3-3 and Flash Wolves are 3-3. a 4 way tie. Idk if the auto tiebreaker thing applies to SKT automatically being above C9 because they lost to SKT 2 times, but yeah. That would be a VERY interesting situation.
