Most uniques in this game seem to be tailored to be used with a very specific build in mind (or are simply outright bad).
What are some uniques that simply are outright good and universally valuable? The only one I've encountered so far is Belly of the Beast, it's basically a very nice rare chestpiece on crack.

This is my first attempt at making a tree for a non-crit lightning tendrils (because the skill's concept really appeals to me).

Poison is chaos damage. All chaos damage is not poison. Poison needs a hit to be applied. That cluster is utterly wasted on CA. It's only justified in the case of Viper Strike really, but if you're playing VS you might as well uninstall

I've focused everything I could into chaos damage / chaos DOT.

Again, I don't know what I'm doing, but this has been extremely effective for me and like FUCK am I going to go back to 65% hit chance when I effectively get 300 damage per shot less on a miss.

You get up to 6 refund points per difficulty, so 18 total. Plan accordingly. It's also common and to be expected to have found a few regret orbs by the time you reach late merciless. In light of that, I'd allow myself to shift around 20-25 points if a "full" respec is necessary at some point, but any more than that might be too costly for a new player.

That being said, you get 6 off-hand sockets to level gems any any projectile-based tree can easily switch from say, Spark, to CA later on as long as you have gems leveled in off hand ready for the switch. Just make sure you focus on generic projectile nodes first so as to maximize the trees overlap and minimize respeccing costs.

Intelligence gives you a fucking percentage to ES which is obscenely good, because if you're running ES, every % gives a huge boost as you stack it.
Dex gives evade, which in itseld isn't useful, it's only used for armor builds to dodge some crits and keep it down, adn the same for ES.

The only way it would would be if the majority of players were ok with this and they just did the main league then 2-3 1-2 month flashback leagues after the main expansion.

The way most content is nowadays it makes grouping with people boring af unless you're using a meta build, or running with an aurabot.

If not you're better off gridnding solo, or with one other person. If maps say...unlocked rather than having to drop, and it was random modifiers that dropped, then you'd see more groups. You'd see even more if they balanced the skills/ group monster mitigation.

I'm using Hatred on my Cyclone build, and it generally does fine, but Blasph+Warlords and Hatred together reserve a lot of my mana, I have something like 90 mana left. Sometimes it feels a little uncomfortable and I go OOM.
