This OP is temporary, we are working into defining a proper OP for when things start rolling, help is much appreciated.
Pastebin for the rest of the OP coming soon-ish
>Race into Space
Race to the moon between the USSR and US. An old management sim that is adapted from a board game, it's still pretty good. Free
http://www.raceintospace.org/
>Buzz Aldrin's Space Program Manager
Race into Space's younger, slightly worse cousin. Shinier and slightly better interface. It's a Slitherine game - not much else needs to be said

>Orbiter
The big boy spaceflight game. Simulates lots of real and fictional spacecraft. Absurd numbers of mods to add just about anything you can imagine

http://www.orbithangar.com/
>Space Engine
Space screenshot maker with an entire procedural universe to fly around. Is supposed to someday get actual gameplay. Free
http://en.spaceengine.org/
>Rogue System
DCS in space. In early access, so approach with caution, but seems to be shaping up pretty well so far
http://imagespaceinc.com/rogsys/
>Children of a Dead Earth
Claims to be a "Realistic" space combat simulator. The realism is debatable, but the game is interesting nonetheless

>House of the Dying Sun
Space anime combat villain sim.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/283160/
>Rodina
Like an itty-bitty No Man's Sky. Lots of exploration in a single solar system. Early Access, so take caution.

>OpenTTD
A transport and logistics systems simulation game. Free Transport Tycoon remake with tons of addons to keep you busy for the rest of forever.
https://www.openttd.org/en/
>Factorio
Pure, unadulterated, distilled logistic autism. It's in Early Access but the devs are working hard and the game is in great shape.
https://www.factorio.com/
>Osiris: New Dawn
Another take at the No Man's Sky kind of games, still in Early Access

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Been playing Everspace and notice that every G&B facility has some sort of shield box, and sometimes there's something in it that my weapons will lock on to.
HOW THE FUCK DO I OPEN THE BOX

I've tried to break it open dozens of times. Either we're both retarded, or it simply can't be done.

Trens
Another mine added to the network.
Right now all the 20+ trains in the network converge to this single station, I had to add a new platform and rework the entry and exit junctions to handle the traffic.
Is there a newgrf or mod for ottd that makes trains prefer specific platforms on a station or do I have to make due with waypoints?

Sort of, but it comes in the form of a patch, which requires a separate .exe to play.
the patchpack I'm using is this:
https://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?t=66892#p1085300
and this is one of the patches included in the pack:
https://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?t=46272
It gives you the option of creating passengers-only platforms and signals so you can basically create reserved paths for passengers.
It can't differentiate between trains of the same kind, so you still need waypoints if you want to send two freight trains or two passenger trains to two different platforms of the same station.

Aww. Ok thanks.
Meanwhile, I'm preparing the tracks for the future addition of a supply chain towards all the mines currently in the network.
Most of that spaghetti monster will go unused though, as the only cargo going to the new station in the lower left corner will be metal coming from the steel mill off-screen in the top-right direction.
Once I'll have a sufficiently high and stable stream of metal going to the station, I'll start using the supplies produced from that metal to boost the production of all the primary industries (thus taking advantage of this ugly junction I just built), starting a chain reaction that will force me to spawn new trains left and right and spend a lot of time to adjust them for the added cargo production.
this is it, nothing interesting will happen for a while

No problems. check that pack out, it has a bunch of very useful stuff in it
Is Roller Coaster Tycoon welcome in this general?

Where do you click to see that in the main screen? I'm retard.
>>156958516
