Dragon warrior is really strong, but any deck is really strong if you play well. Mage is a top tier deck right now though to answer your question, it even does well against control because of the Cabalists Tome and Antonidas generating so much burn and value.

Bloodmage Thalnos is the opposite of a newb trap, new players would be pretty disappointed to have him as a legendary because not a gorillian mana ball of stats with a slow as shit effect like Ysera. But he's extremely efficient and one of the best legendaries in the game for how flexible he is.

That said he's not exactly core like Tony or Edwin is, even then Tony is cut from a lot of lists. If you need to craft other stuff then do so but you certainly wouldn't be making a bad choice.

He's extremely good but he does not "enable" any deck by itself. He's just an extremely useful and versatile little guy. I definitely recommend to craft him, but only after you have a decent amount of other more game-defining legendaries. Still he's one of the most used leggos in the game.

The advantage to discard is that silverware golems get played and whatever you discard generates more cards through imp. Tbh discard isn't far off from normal zoo. You already run doomguards and maybe a soulfire for reach. All you add is another soulfire and some librarians which also generate cards when they die.

It's not OP if it isn't used in every high tier deck of that class imo. Execute and War Axe for example, doesn't matter if it's control or aggro, those are always gonna be in a warrior deck.

Even some Reno Mages don't bother to run it. So no, you need a tempo mage deck to make the best use of it and without flamewaker, Tempo Mage wouldn't be any good anyway.

Disguised Toast made a video of his statistics analysis on the win rate of Tuskarr and his different drops pre-nerf. ~45% of the people that rolled basic totems won the match, while over 60% of those that rolled other totems won their match. The difference is even bigger if done on curve.

Honestly, with Tuskarr getting the nerf, he either served better stats or the choice on which totem to summon. At least you could get the thing that would be the best for you and not Searing Totem when literally anything else could save you.

You just defined a staple, not an overpowered card. A lot of cards are used everywhere not because they're op, but because they provide simple effects that every deck needs, like Fireball, which pretty much all mage decks run.
