The list of items you will pull from the Crank-a-kai from each of the different coins is determined the moment you start the game. (Each Color/type of coin has its own list). It does not matter what passwords or QR codes you use, the results will always be the same.

most solo YW2 Blaster gameplay in JP has the person playing as Snartle to smash around the Oni and make them their bitches, along with using bombs and heal items. Take that as what you will.
It is possible though. I managed to solo down a Blue Oni at least using Smogmella and bombs before his bomb killed me and I failed the escape

One decent hint is that you can walk at normal speeds and the oni wont be able to hit you with the default attack unless you hesistate. When he uses his technique, be sure to dash.
