Alright. Summary time.

Yesterday, we left off with the team being dismissed from Naruto's office. Ilya followed them outside and warned them again to be careful in Amegakure, and specifically with Lord Zed. Fugetsu said he didn't plan on getting into trouble, and Ilya said that while ninja rarely do, it still seems to find them. Before they headed off, Arata made up a Simple Chakra Potion (restores 1d3 CP), a Rage Potion (+1 to melee combat damage for several turns) and a Fear Toxin (target Fears Arata for one turn). The four of them headed off on the day-and-a-half walk from Konoha to Amegakure. While they walked, this played in the background (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=siwpn14IE7E). As they got closer to Amegakure, it began to rain, and just as they saw the massive walls of Amegakure, they were stopped. Four shinobi appeared in front of them, telling them that they were in Amegakure territory, and that they had to leave. Fugetsu said they were here on behalf of Naruto, and that Lord Zed was expecting them. The shinobi asked for some form of proof or identification, and Waniko showed her little special snowflake Amegakure plates, that were on the back of her gloves, rather than worn on a headband. One of the ninja slapped another in the chest and told him that she was Waniko, and this was obviously the Hokage's team. He had been at the briefing, how did he not remember that? With tensions diffusing, the ninja formed up on the team, and told them that they would escort them to Amegakure and get them quickly through processing.

After another fifteen minutes, the team is in front of the only entrance to Ame. It's an imposing sight, with flashes of lightning not helping the matter. Instead of Konoha's open gates, with people bustling in and out, there were several lines of people standing in the rain, at a checkpoint, being vetted and verified before being allowed in.

NaruHina is the best thing to happen in Naruto.

You can enjoy other things within the series while seeing NaruHina, in which someone who endured a lifetime of lonliness marries the first person who believed in him, as the best moment. If you ask most people in the real world what the "best thing to happen" in their life is, the answer will generally be something along the lines of getting married, or the birth of their children, as well. The same is true with fiction.

For me. It certainly won't ever be something that's just fighting related, not even in a shonen. Because unless I'm invested in who the characters actually are or in what happens to them, all of the flashy colors on the screen during fight scenes mean nothing. If I name something action related as the best thing to happen in a series, such as Goku turning Super Saiyan, for example, there will probably be an emotional core to it, such as his desire to avenge a best friend, that puts it there.

The ninja that are with the team rushed them through the processing checkpoint, pushing to the front of a line - earning some hastily shushed shouts of annoyance - and speaking to the security officer there. Once through the checkpoint, they were met by a Jounin. He told the team that they were a bit earlier than Zed expected, and so would not be ready to see them for a few hours. He said they could either go to his office and wait for him, or they could wander around Ame for a bit, see what was going on, and the Jounin would come for when when Zed was ready. The team decided to explore. Renya wanted to head to a general store first, so the team headed on over to the market district.

On the way there, everyone but Fugetsu noticed that the people they passed seemed...melancholic. Perhaps not depressed or anything, but certainly not as happy as the civilians in Konoha. All three of the people who passed their Insight check failed their History check, though, so they didn't know about how fanatical people used to be under Pain or Hanzo, and how much of a stark contrast there was to the citizens now.

While in the general store, Renya took a look around at some fancy-pants new shoes, and rolling high on a Stealth (or Sleight of Hand, I dunno) check, managed to purchase another ring for 150 Ryo. From there, the team headed to an armour shop, and Renya looks at arm bracers, but didn't buy any. As they were leaving the market district, Renya passed a DEX check, and intercepted a small girl, around six years old, trying to pickpocket him as she brushed past him. That's where we left the game - with Renya holding the arm of a small child, with a terrified look on her face, and her friends a small distance away, also scared.

Naruto Shippuden: Anime to Run Character Shorts Starting Episode 480

The Naruto Shippuden October 2016 schedule was announced earlier this month. Based on the episode titles, it initially seemed like the anime was going to finish off the Naruto manga with chapter 700 and then shift focus to life after manga chapter 699, but before 700 as previously announced.

However, in a complete surprise, the Naruto Shippuden anime will take a different turn and run character shorts starting with episode 480 (which is episode 700 overall, if including the 220 episodes of the first Naruto series). Each episode will be comprised or two parts – Part A and Part B – and they will feature different characters. For example, with episode 480, Part A will focus on Naruto and Part B of the episode will focus on Hinata. From what we gather, they will be flashback fillers.

Take a look at the episodes numbers, their air dates, and the featured characters in each of the shorts. There are descriptions associated with the Part A of the first three episodes. As we learn more, we hope to share the news with you right here on Saiyan Island!

Really quite enjoyable and since last I remember the fight it interrupted was another 3 months back I'm not even upset!

How much can we actually believe activity will increase when the Storm 4 expansion comes out?
It's, likely, 2 new characters, changes in existing characters movesets with a plot that we'll be going through for the third time.

Summary time. This'll be a long one, so if anyone is paying attention, now is the time to get a cup of coffee and settle in. I'm going to bypass a few details that are largely unimportant, in the interest of moving along quickly.

We picked up where we left off yesterday - Renya had a small girl by the wrist who had just attempted to pickpocket him. Luckily for her, Renya wasn't angry, and Waniko actually tried to give the girl some tips on how not to get caught. The encounter ended easily enough, with Renya giving her 10 Ryo and sending her on her way. It was only after the team had wandered off that Waniko thought to check her own wallet. Everyone else was missing 15 Ryo. The girl had never meant to get away with pickpocketing Renya.

Suitably chastised, the team then continued on to the Amegakure academy. Deciding to take a wander through the library, Arata made a check to find anything relating to Hanzo. All he found was a book on the history of Amegakure, which went on about how amazing Hanzo was. Funnily enough, the book was published during Hanzo's rule. Renya then rolled to find a book relating to Arcana or chakra mechanics. Rolling a 20, he finds a book about Ley Lines and Ancient Chakra. Arata got away with a stealth check, so nobody noticed, but the team saw Renya pick a book, flip through it and put it back, but don't see him write down the title.

All done, the team decides to prematurely head to Zed's mansion. Waniko leads the way, and after getting through the first layer of security, the Jounin that met them past the checkpoint into the Village. He said Zed had finished his business and he was just about to come and get them. The Jounin led them to Zed's office, knocked on the door, and left them.

Lord Zed was behind his desk when they entered. As they came in, he came around the front and welcomed them, putting a hand to Waniko's face and saying that it was good to have her back, although he wished it was under better circumstance. He returned to his seat and got right to business, saying that he understood why he believed they were there - something bad had happened in Konohagakure, and Naruto believed he was responsible, before Fugetsu clarified that it was more likely someone employed there at the time. Renya mentioned the name Shimazu, but Zed said he didn't know that clan. Waniko felt something brush against her mind, like she did when she was in Noxus. Like when she was surrounded by other Shimazu. Renya requested to see a mission log or something of the sort, and Zed handed over his profit and loss accounts, saying that while he hired other mercenary groups here and there, there wasn't anything relating to the Shimazu.

Renya finishes with the book and finds nothing out of the ordinary. Waniko rolls her Nat 1 INT check and fumbles around with the register like a fucking two year old before trying to act professional. Fugetsu decides that, for posterity, he should look over it as well. Just to be safe. Taking the records, rather than looking at what came in or went out, he looked at the dates. The first entry in the book takes place three months after the Shimazu went on loan to Amegakure. Fugetsu brings it up, and Zed simply says that perhaps it was something his predecessor brought up. Waniko's sensation of a Shimazu nearby is now at fever pitch. She mentions it, that there's a pulling in the room somewhere, that she can feel, and looking around, she can see a slight shimmer in the shadows in the back corner of the room. Zed looks to where she is pointing and sighs, asking why they couldn't have left well enough alone.

The Shimazu from Konoha steps into the light. For everyone other than Waniko, he appears to literally appear out of thin air. Fugetsu made his usual witty commentary about that being a familiar face. Zed said that the plan was for the team to come, ask a few questions, and go, before lamenting that it was true that no plan survives contact with the enemy. He orders the Shimazu to prepare for translation, and to burn everything. The Shimazu nods and steps back into the shadows, fading from view, and from Waniko's ability to sense him. Zed then turned back to the Genin, saying he wasn't expecting an interrogation, but in retrospect, should've seen it coming. Naruto had sent him mission reports, and they had all done exceedingly well. He singled out Waniko, for two kills already, saying he was particularly pleased with the stealth attack at the farm.

Appearing completely calm, Zed leans forward on his desk and decides to play 20 questions, asking Waniko how killing that first man made her feel, to take a man's life and look him in the eye as he died. Waniko responded that it made her feel alive, and like she did her job (what the fuck, Waniko). Zed then glances at Renya and asks him the same question. His eyes slide back to Waniko, saying that her response wasn't really normal for a thirteen-year-old girl, but not entirely unexpected. Renya tried to head off Zed's question, saying that the question wasn't what they're here for. Zed said that what they were here for is now largely irrelevant. Renya persisted, telling the team that the Shimazu was likely getting rid of evidence that they'd need, and that they needed to find the Shimazu. Fugetsu, still trying to remain polite, said that he didn't see how their feelings on killing were relevant either, and that they tried to keep their emotions out of it and do their jobs.

Zed said that while that might be true for experienced shinobi, that's rarely the case for Genin, and that most requite a visit to a therapist or psychologist, before looking directly at Renya and asking "Don't they, Renya?". Renya says that was in the past, with Zed retorting that he wasn't old enough yet to go around saying that. The Shimazu returns and nods at Zed. Zed gets to his feet, saying that their answers had been enlightening. He laughs slightly, saying that, admittedly, the entire thing was his fault, and that after years, he let himself get impatient, and that now he's paying the price. He glanced at the Shimazu and said all the kinks should be sorted out, before glancing at Waniko and amending his statement, saying for at least one person. He then looked at Renya, saying he was disappointed, and that he had heard Renya was to lead the clan, and that he had thought Renya would read the history and put the pieces together. He shrugs and turns to the Shimazu, saying that it was time to go, and that they won't be returning. He tears off his pseudo-Kage hat and his dark cloak, saying that it got stifling under all that in time.

Lord Zed was revealed. Danzo stood before the team, although only Renya knew who that was. His Hashirama arm had been replaced with a metallic one, and his ex-Sharingan eye had also been replaced with technology. He commented on the technology in Amegakure, saying that it was leagues ahead of anything else on the island. Lord Zed gave some co-ordinates to Renya - "Thirty-two degrees, thirteen minutes north, seventy-two degrees, six minutes east", and said that Renya would know it when he saw it. Waniko, horrifically confused, tried to take stock of the situation, asking who this was. Lord Zed glanced at Waniko, and said that she was a failed experiment, but that she may yet serve a purpose.

Anyway, before he left, Zed keyed the intercom on his desk, saying, in a message that broadcast across the entire Village, " To the people of Amegakure, the team sent by the Hokage under the guise of an investigation have attempted to assassinate me. I want them gone". Saying that that should keep them busy for a while, Renya tried to bluff, saying that killteams were waiting to storm the Village. Zed looked at the Shimazu, who shook his head, and Zed called his bluff, saying that no, there were not. The Shimazu put a hand on Zed's shoulder as footsteps approached the door from a little way off. Both the Shimazu and Zed disappear into smoke, as the Shimazu brings Zed with him through the Living Shadow, and Waniko loses track of the Shimazu.

The team quickly start to come up with a plan, before Waniko feels another tug of the Living Shadow, through the door to the hallway and to the left. Telling the team, they come up with a plan - make some clones stand on the other side of Zed's desk, and when the ninja come through, run through the door past them. Unexpectedly, the ninja seem to have general ideas on breaching manoeuvres, tossing two flashbangs into the room before kicking the door in. Fugetsu passes the DEX check with flying colours, blocking his ears and closing his eyes, with Waniko and Renya just managing to look away in time. Arata wasn't so lucky and copped the full force of the flashbangs. Regardless, the clones did their job, and as the ninja stormed the room, the team fled, with Fugetsu grabbing Arata and dragging him along.

With Waniko leading the way, the team runs through several corridors, with the pull getting stronger and stronger. Finally, they end up outside an unassuming door, just like any other. They go in as a team, before the door closes behind them. The mysterious ninja is leaning against the door, telling them that they really cocked it up this time. Pulling out a small orb, he says that Danzo was right, and that technology in Ame is far ahead of anywhere else. Motioning to the orb, he said he might keep it, explaining that it allows the replication of any shinobi's chakra signature. Fugetsu asked what they were really expected to do here, with the ninja saying that they were EXPECTED to get some answers, but Naruto sent kids to do a ninja's job, which is almost always a terrible idea.

With the team beginning to panic slightly, the ninja points behind them, saying that some people still wanted to see them alive, and that the window would take them to a series of small alleyways that will lead them to the main street, only a few dozen metres from the front gate. He didn't know if the main checkpoint had been locked, but that likely only the compound gates would be shut at this point. Saying there was something else, he then walked over to a locker with a padlock on it and smashes it off, saying to Waniko that he had a gift from several spooky and mysterious benefactors, saying that they wanted you to have it, and that it was your birthright. Reaching into the locker, he pulled out a massive scroll, about a third as big as Waniko was. He walked over to Waniko and asked her if she knew what it was. She did not. He explained: it was a contract scroll, and that someone seemed to think that her birthright was a way to contract with, and summon, one of the major animal clans. The ninja said he hadn't been able to open it, and that it was likely a blood lock jutsu that only unlocked for the right person - simple, but effective.

Asking if she wanted to know the real kicker, the ninja told her that almost the only people who can contract with the major animal clans are Sages. Telling her to think about that, he booped her on the nose and said that the group should leave. He told the team that he really liked Amegakure, and that it had a nice ambience, and that getting banned for life was going to be a kick in the shorts. Turning, he put an explosive tag on the hinges of the door. Waniko said she was confused, which resulted in the ninja to tell her to be less confused and be more running away. The ninja draws his monster sword, and it bursts into flames. He glances at Arata with a grin and said "Okami weaponsmiths, am I right?" before detonating the explosive tags and charging into the smoke. The team jump through the window, and from what they can here, the ninja is having a LOT of fun. Ignoring him, they sprint through the twisting back alleys of Amegakure, through stormwater drains and over fences before, as the ninja said, coming out in a small section between two shops on the main road.

Waniko took a peak out into the street and saw several ninja walking down the street towards them, checking alleys and shops on their way. They were still a ways off. Failing a stealth check, a ninja on the rooftops across the street sees Renya and Arata. However, he doesn't raise the alarm, holding up a hand in the 'stop' sign. He waited until all the ninja were preoccupied looking into shops or alleys, and then hastily beckoned the team across. Deciding that they didn't have any better options. As they make their way across the street, a shout goes up from the rooftops behind them. They freeze, and the ninja who beckoned to them slowly gives them a wink, before getting off the roof and moving over to them before anyone else can.

Renya and Arata pass an INT check, and they recognise the ninja. He was the leader of the group that they met in the Land of Wheat back in the second mission, the one they brought back to Konoha with them and got them all work. He says hi to them quietly, and says that things are going to kick off very quickly and they might need the team's help, but after that, the team needs to get out of there. He apologised for using them as bait, saying that he needed to draw out the other enemies, who were on the roofs above the team's hiding place. The other three ninja - from Ame - reach the team and the Konoha ninja. With a flash, the Konoha ninja snaps a kunai down his arm and stabs the closest Ame ninja twice in the throat, turning and throwing it at the second closest one, catching him in the chest. Moving fluidly, he drops under a handful of shuriken from the third Ame ninja and kicks the kunai deeper into second ninja's chest with a crunch, before pushing him into the third, stepping up to him, shoving the dead ninja aside, and snapping the third one's neck. He looked back at the team as said that maybe it was lucky they didn't fight back in the Land of Wheat.

The Konoha ninja's teammate on the roof - who had a bow - didn't miss a beat, snapping it up and putting an arrow through the chest of the Ame ninja with a bow on the opposing roof. I don't want to hear shit about 'Wah nobody uses bows'. They do now. The Ame ninja, to their credit, react immediately, jumping down from their roof and closing to engage with the Konoha ninja's team. I can't remember exactly, but I think there were five on the Konoha side and five on the Ame side. Of course, then there was the Genin team as well. Rolling initiative, the bad guys went first, followed by the Konoha ninja, and then, in order, Arata, Waniko, Renya and Fugetsu. The fight to escape alive had begun.

Ame Ninja Turn 1 (AN1): They spent their turn moving into position, nothing more.

Konoha Ninja (KN) 1: The three northmost ninja all threw kunai, but as they were beyond their effective range, they all missed. The bowman was a bit better, putting an arrow through the arm of an Ame ninja for 4 damage. The leader moved past the team and intercepted the closest Ame ninja with a katana. After trading a few blows, he drops to his knee and lands a cut on his leg for 2 damage.

A1: There is now a flanking bonus to hit in game, so Arata moved to take position to give him to +2 to hit. Landing the hit, he caused 5 damage with his Kusarigama, nailing a criss-cross hit on the Ame ninja's back, stumbling him.

W1: Waniko attempted to get the flanking bonus as well, and moved up, but missed with her Warglaive.

R1: Renya moved past that melee northwards a bit, and used a Wind Release: Air Detonation jutsu. He dumped two Chakra Points into it, causing 2 damage, plus one bonus damage, and knocked the closest Ame ninja into his friend. He then landed a hit with his Shuriken Hail, causing a bonus point of damage.

F1: Fugetsu attacked the first enemy, maxing out the flanking bonus for a +3 attack at an Advantage. Landing a hit, he unfortunately only rolled a 1 for damage, causing a flesh wound.

AN2: The two ninja that were in combat with the Konoha ninja attacked, and one missed, the other causing 4 damage to the Konoha ninja he was fighting with. The two that Renya hit with his Air Detonation moved into combat range and attacked, missing as well, finishing with the Ame ninja at the bottom also missing. Fun stuff.

KN2: The two northmost ninja miss with their attacks, with the centre one moving to assist Renya, landing a decent sword strike for 7 damage. The bowman tries to capitalise on that, but misses. The Konoha leader decides to end the little combat at the south end, kicking the Ame ninja to the ground and putting his katana through his chest.

A2: Arata disengages from the dead shinobi and moves up to help Renya. Dodging a katana strike, he manages to get the shinobi in the back with his Kusarigama, pulling him to the ground and kicking him in the head, putting him out of the fight.

W2: Waniko missed by 1 on her roll. On a vote of 2:1 yes, the team decided to give it to her anyway, just this once, to see how much damage she could dish out with her Shimazu Warglaive AND Noxian Diplomacy. The answer is 18, in this case, taking the ninja from 12 to -6 HP in a single attack. The flavour text of the attack was " Waniko gets behind the other shinobi and launches an attack. From the first hit, the Ame ninja is outmatched. The day has just been blow after blow for Waniko. Zed was someone else. She was a 'failed experiment'. A Sage somehow knows her. She is in line to have a contract summon. It overflows. Flashing around the Ame ninja, using close-range Living Shadow jumps that she barely notices she's making, Waniko forces the shinobi back, away from her team. Cutting him down with a dozen small attacks, Waniko finally dashes forward, plants her Warglaive into the ground, and pivots off it, launching into the air, slamming a double-footed kick into the Ame ninja's chin, launching him into the air and knocking him out, and back several feet."

R2: Renya moves onto the next enemy, landing an attack with his naginata and causing 9 damage, attempting to emulate Waniko and tag-teaming with a Konoha ninja, forcing the Ame ninja back against a wall, knocking the ninja's sword aside, dropping his naginata, grabbing the ninja's head and, with two quick slams, smashes it against the wall, also taking him out of the fight.

F2: Fugetsu finished up by moving towards the final ninja and casting Snake's Mouth, blasting the ninja off his feet with a raging typhoon of water, causing 11 damage and putting down the last enemy ninja.

The team leader of the Konoha team came up to them, breathing heavily, saying that they did well, but that they needed to go, as more would be coming. He told them to make for the gate, and not to stop for anything. Even as they looked, security officers were pulling fences across the checkpoint and beginning to shut the main gate. The ninja with the bow dropped from the roof and looked to his leader, who nodded. The bowman wrapped a strip of paper around the arrowhead and gently blew on it, causing it to glow red and spark. With a "FIRE IN THE HOLE", he launched the explosive arrow at the fence, hitting a security officer, blowing him, and most of the fence, apart. Saying that they probably heard that, he urges the team to leave. The four sprint for the gate as fast as they can. An Ame ninja drops down from the roof in front of them, but at arrow snaps past Renya's ear, taking the ninja in the eye.

Finally, the team is through the gate. On the other side, two more ninja with Konoha headbands meet up with them and fall in alongside them, explaining that they're part of the Konoha team and will escort them a decent distance from the Village. After sprinting for twenty minutes, the group stops. The ninja explain they need to head back to Ame, and to their team, but will delay any enemy ninja they run into on their way back. The Genin thank them profusely for their help, and the ninja nod, turning back to the Village. The team, still moving quickly, headed for home, leaving the burning wreckage of Amegakure's gate behind them.

Hashirama couldn't channel more natural energy at the time since he was pierced by the black rods. Naruto could just overwhelm Sasuke with a Tailed Beast's chakra equivalent of Natural Energy.

It actually means Kishimoto doesn't know how to write, because there's no reason he can't use Human Path. Preta Path works against everything that has chakra, this is canonical.
