What would be some good ideas for crimson, corruption and meteor crowns?
We're planning on doing them after the first few are done but we aren't 100% sure yet.

Well, none are 100% done yet maybe besides the two bee crowns
Necro is getting a poorly recoloured skeletron sprite that grows slightly bigger and shakes the more souls you collect, exploding when fully charged
Jungle is getting Plantera as a helper minion
We still need to finish up molten, jungle, forbidden and frost

How bout this then.
Meteor crown: Every few attacks with a magic weapon will give you a stack of some minor or dummy buff, and the crown gives you an activated ability that calls down an orbital strike with the number of lasers being dependent on the stacks of the buff. Maybe also include a companion weapon that works like the space gun for normal meteor armor.

Shadow and Crimtane: They should probably play to their strengths, being offensive and defensive armors respectively. No real ideas for shadow, but maybe give Crimtane increased aggro and a stacking life regen and thorns effect whenever you get hit, to encourage tanking.

Tell me anon. No-lore situation is pretty much the charm of the game. I had fun imagining my character the biggest evil of the world. But would it be as/even more popular if the devs throw a bone to plotfags? And how about upcoming siquel and Overworld?

I personally prefer the game as being totally plotless, just me and a group of random stragglers surviving on a Lovecraftian hellhole island isolated from the rest of the world where apocolyptic events occur on a weekly basis and ruins and evidence of crushed settlements dots the seemingly serene landscape. The existence of the Lost Hopes of Man banner in particular, combined with the demonic infestation and the constantly rising force of evil from the dungeon, totally separate and out of context from all the other major powers, yet somehow stronger than any of them, is something I personally find extremely poignant as I wander aimlessly, seeking meaning in an abandoned world filled with traces of civilization, but no life beyond That Which Should Not Be.

But I guess a story mode is okay.

That reminds me, I have never seen the actual moment of meteor spawn. All my 1k hours is autistic diggy-diggy-hole around corruption with prehardmode picks back in 2013, afk farming and a lie.

Plantera is definitively my fave. Aside from having the best boss theme, I like her design and the pacing of her fight.
