They're not as fast as their contemporaries and nowhere near as numerous as games those devs would later make (several of them went on to form Cave). It's by far the easiest game in the pack, as I got a 2-all on my first credit yet cannot get past stage 3 in the regular game. You're still going to have to build skills to beat it, and if you're new it might take you a while.

Soukyugurentai/Terra Diver plays better than I expected in MAME. Some wonky shadows on Stage 3 (they look like ships on a different plane), but it's playing fine otherwise. It's fun. Another nice twist on the Ray Series style of play.

I was bored and emulated the OG ALLTYNEX on Unz and MESS a couple of days ago, and I liked it enough to start playing ALLTYNEX Second again.

Old as that game is, I'm impressed with how good the mechanics feel. Fighter for fast mobility and coverage, Mech for slashing the fuck out of enemies and bullets or wiping out both with a big laser.

It makes me appreciate ALLTYNEX Second more. Would have made a great bonus if it were included with the remake somehow.

Unz lets me crank up the FM-Towns CPU so the game doesn't run at awful speeds, so I'll stick with that.

Hell yeah me to, i found 2 japanese youtube plays from this year on youtube one is 95 mill kosame clear by the garegga wild snail wr holder and ones a 70 mill shishin that i'm currently studying to improve my current play and pb from 40 mill. I would advise you to learn Kanji while learning vocab. It may take longer to learn all the stuff, but you'll be glad you know some of the Kanji by the time you make some progress.
Oh, and you should only remember the reading a Kanji uses at the moment, so you don't get overwhelmed if you'll attempt to remember them all.
