I also started playing TR (Tourabu? whatever) a couple of days ago, because I'm studying in Japan right now, and don't have to mess with a proxy.
It was weird, though, because yesterday one of my roommate's friends came by, and he just happened to notice my screen, and came over being like "Touken Ranbu?? I haven't met anyone else here who plays it!"
And then he started talking to me about it, all enthusiastically, and even though I told him I had only been playing for literally a day, he was throwing out all these names and terms that I had never heard of.
It was kind of awkward, because I'm not nearly as excited about or invested in it yet.
We ended up watching the first episode together, though.
I hope he doesn't keep coming back and trying to talk to me about it...

They're faster than those, so they should be able to take them out before they can attack.
Tachi and Oodachi are pretty bad in that map because they are way too slow. No idea if Waki/Uchi have enough attack to one-hit the enemies, but them equipped with stone throwers or so should be worth a try.

It's your choice if you want to do more, depends on how many sets you have. Shouldn't hurt if you have enough, especially since they're really taking their time with adding more kiwame swords.

Iwatitties was in need of some exp so I thought it was a really great idea, leveling up swords while trying to get Sada-chan. At least he got rid of the enemy troops in one turn, the only problem was those enemy at the boss node.

Not him but I have been using level 65-70 tachis, level 95 Taroutachi and 90 Hotarumaru for map 3. No troop loss at all and the kebiishi are pushovers but those yaris really suck my resources. Haven't touched the last map because my team takes too much damage.

This is bullshit. Some places there are probably easier to reach with specific teams, but I only reached the resource node on the top after changing a Tachi into my team.

So did mine, because there's no bamboo blocking the top path. The flag has the bamboo animation on some of the bottom routes. I've done some 1000 E4 battles and never reached those particular dead ends with an anti-bamboo sword on the team.

Finished Lowe's route.
He was moe and suffered a lot so it was easy enough to forgive him for all the shit. He changed too abruptly for his development to be believable however.

Mixed feelings about the protagonist switch. For Lowe it couldn't have worked any other way, but the way current Eve got treated left a really bad aftertaste. Especially her being put in Cradle and not being able to speak. That was just depressing. Past Eve isn't bad but she can't compare when you spend so much more time with the current(cuter and more fun)one. Also there being absolutely no trace of past Eve's mental instability wasn't fitting considering she was clearly going down Lowe road in the last conscious moments she had. Covering 3000 years of trauma for both of them is admittedly something I didn't expect the route to handle, but something more would have been nice. Anyway I hope nothing like the protag switch happens in the true route.

Still it was a good route. I appreciate the effort at keeping the fights fresh in each one. I'm still finding them fun to read. Every guy having a distinct place in how everything fits together has been well done so far too and allowed for different viewpoints of the whole situation. The world building is great.

I'd really recommend going into it knowing as little as possible. Don't even look at the site. There are a few connections between characters you can guess from it.
The Lowe issue isn't that bad, He does switch from massive dick -> reasonable person in 5 minutes, but you get to understand why he was a massive dick in the first place.

The item collecting is no bother at all, it might as well not exist. Sometimes you get prompted to choose locations on a world map, and the locations with ? have items. Whenever this happens just choose all of the ? locations and when they're gone select one of the main event ones marked with ! to progress. That's it. It should be covered in any guide too since it's just choices from a set.

Has anyone tried that latest Voltage game? It's quite an interesting mix of Ace Attorney and the usual otome genre and the game is surprisingly not as vanilla as other Voltage games. The second liar is a momcon who rather fucks his mom than giving a fuck about you.

I'm only on chapter 2 so not much to say yet. There's a lot more of the notKokuchous than I was expecting this early on. The atmosphere is a bit SoL like and very different to the suspense that Kokuchou had from the beginning, but it's still obvious there's something bigger going on beneath the surface. Even more so if you've read the first game.

I don't have much of an impression of the guys so far but MC and juggernaut mom are immediately likable.
Also upgraded Hikage is pretty moe. I already like him more and have taken more screenshots of him than actual Hikage.

I'm playing right now, too. Currently working my way through the subplots before chapter 3. The map subplot segments offer some nice world-building, but they do feel like they bring the plot to a temporary standstill.

Loving MC, she's great. Still waiting for Hugh to debut, but out of the guys I've met the tower overlord is the one I like most.

The system is nice and the characters have lots of poses and expressions. The falling snow effect also wins points with me.

Agreed on every point. Although I'm trying not to like tower overload too much. Everything about him is way too suspicious.

The presentation overall is a noticeable step up from the first game. One thing I love is the switch between the use of the screen as Jed's viewpoint and it shaking as she breathes heavily, or jumping erratically as she looks around, then her portrait sometimes being in the corner, or having a full sprite on screen moving around. It's all very dynamic and lively.

After my lvl 40 kiwame kept dying at the boss node I ditched him for a lvl 99 team. A waste of EXP, but I had nobody else to level up at the time. I heard it's possible to fail scouting at the boss node even with a full kiwame team. Much like how world 6 is a piece of cake with kiwame tantou, I think kiwame waki will wipe the floor with world 7.

The Trigger event is fun as fuck. They are best group after all. Kind of regret letting my rank completely drop for a year.

For me, it was just a lot of exposure to nip media in general (anime, raw manga, comedy shows, vns, etc.). I just knew how to read kana at first and knew very basic grammar.
I picked up/taught myself a bunch of new words and more complex grammar through nip media, and I approached kanji by looking them up when something I didn't know appeared or sometimes solely relied on context to figure out what it was.
It took maybe around 3-4 years to get to a decent level where I didn't have to rely on external resources.
I wasn't ever in a rush to learn Japanese, but it helped that my first language is one with very similar grammar structure to Japanese.

I bought a physical copy of room no. 9 from amiami and I'm trying to install it now but my computer can't read moon (and I'm not very good myself) so a lot of the instruction messages turn out to be gibberish.
