At least SS has some semblance of variety. Being a rhythm game, beatmaps are different, songs are different, multiple difficulties exist etc.

FGO on the other hand is boring as your servants just do the same few animations for their attacks. Events are actually pretty easy, even without the aforementioned Waver. There isn't any sense of competitiveness either, as none of the events rank/pit players against each other.

It just gets stale really quickly gameplay wise. Even after you roll your waifu/husbando, they'll eventually run out of lines to say and animations to show and no dialogue in story/events is voiced, so nothing will change.
