this is the main problem, because with ammo in warband the properties are based off of which one comes first in your equipment, and the rest of the ammo just increases the count
so having an explosive round of 2 say and a bag of small shot will give you 22 shots, pretty absurd

Yeah, I haven't seen whatever criticism he's apparently been reading. Literally the only negative stuff I've seen in relation to Warband for consoles is people deriding console peasants and questioning why you'd even bother porting it for them. I tried searching google for any articles or whatever calling it a sloppy port and got no results except for his tweet about it. Even the comments on youtube are overwhelmingly positive.

It's not really 'obsessed' so much as a natural result of making Rapiers scale off Dex...which every other weapon that matters (spears which are always broken, bows which are beyond broken, and exotic shit) does too except for magic. A better way would be to make rapiers 50% chance armor piercing or some shit and make hitchance in general scale off DEX.

Completely depends on the RPG mechanics. Percentage based damage mitigation can easily lead to universal exponential toughness in certain games. Being able to do 1 damage to a concrete wall doesn't sound so hot when said wall has over 1000 HP.

Princess Maker 2 is; somehow, still my favorite raising sim game. I did however find myself frustrated that I couldn't help my daughter out more actively despite being a former Demon King slaying badass in-lore. Especially when sending her off to take down rape bandits. A "raising" game where the player is an active character is rare -- In fact the only game that I can think of that has elements of this is Dragons Dogma ATM.

Aside from Kichikuou Rance in the last topic I can't think of many old Japanese games ATM. Uncharted Waters: New Horizons and Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen are the only things that come to mind.

I am, but it'll probably be some time before the dickplomacy submod that I'm working on is ready.
I'm not sure if you wanted male armor as well, or just female assets so I uploaded all the meshes and textures from wedding dance. Use open BRF and you should be able to find whatever you want.

I wish Bannerlord's political system will be much more complex than Warband's, both between factions and inside of them.

Is it possible to assign individual troops to be recruited by individual villages?
For example:
Village A would recruit militia A, village B would recruit militia B and village C would recruit militia C, but all three villages are part of the same faction.
The premise is that each village would be a clan, so their units are named as such and have different attributes.
If it is possible with morghs, how is it done? Ive looked through the parties editor but I'm getting stumped. It's probably something simple that I'm just over looking, but if anyone with modding experiences could point me in the right direction I'd be very grateful.

To be more specific, there's a simple trigger used to periodically set the troop type available to recruit at each village, which goes off of the village's culture and player relation (for a chance at higher tier units). You would either need to establish a new culture in module factions and set the culture's troops in the game start script or just rewrite the trigger (or script it calls, can't remember if it does it directly or calls a script) to set it per village.

Nova Aetas is way too easy.
You can buy 4 buildings in each city and they're ridiciliously cheap, and you can rent them out for enourmous amount of money.
I quickly got tired of the game because I can now basically buy anything I want and never look back.
Also, you can get at least 10k money from looting a single village.(RNG often blesses you with a cannon which you can sell for a blasting 9000 denar)

You should only upgrade Vaegir Infantry to Guards if you know you're going up against Nords in the near future for this reason
The shield is worth having them be a little worse in everything else

You should still be ashamed for losing though; Vaegir Guards should outskill any infantry opposition Khergits can field and Vaegir Skirmishers/Archers/Marksman should be on par with Khergit Horse Archers at range
Also if you didn't bring at least 1.5x the enemy troops to a siege you have only yourself to blame

After some messing around I wound up adding 'song_A' to the module's music folder and simply editing music.txt so that 'mount_and_blade_title_screen.ogg' became 'song_A.ogg'

It seems to work fine, but there might be complications down the road with encounters, towns etc.

As much as players hate POP it does show how easily mass calvary can get destroyed with other elite armies. Counter-intuitively extremly high numbers of infantry (that stay dense) will destroy melee calvary.

But really the biggest thing is just armored horse toughness. Calvary effectively has x3 (or more) HP against most troops due to an inability to competently hit the rider in many cases. Take that away and they lose F1->F3->AFK in most instances.

Hopefully in Bannerlord they really play with making Lords distinct in-gameplay too. The most obvious element that has not been experimented at all being the following:

1) Modifying the ratio of elite troops to represent the competence of the Lord
2) Modifying the ratio of Infantry/Archers/Calvary to represent the preferred method of war for the Lord
3) Giving Lords different levels of PATH-FINDING to further represent their competence
4) Differentiating the combat STYLES of the Lords. Most obviously: A frighteningly powerful unmounted Archer Lord. Lords that go out of their way to avoid combat. Extremely rare Xiang Yu, Zhang Liao, or Lu Bu style monsters would be fun.
5) Lord specific specialized troops could be fun as well. Mods like POP already do this actually.

Since Bannerlord intends to implement a generational system that heavily implies a procedural element. I feel that making lords distinct in gameplay will be all the more important because of this since we won't even have name recognition. With this in mind I would not be surprised if you could promote troops to lords. I also suspect such lords will range from awful to slightly above average. With perhaps an extremely rare gem. Or at least that would make sense from a gameplay and setting POV.

I have no idea how Bannerlord intends to handle companions with a generational system though.

Not sure how to answer this. I've never played the first one.
I've spent hundreds of hours on the second one, but that was in 2004/5 when it first came out so my memory of it is fuzzy and mostly nostalgia. So I can't really say anything about it other than I remember enjoying it a lot 12 years ago.

I've spent 35 hours so far on 3 and have been enjoying it. If I were to stop and go back to Port Royale 2, would I enjoy it more? I don't know.

I do know if you get 3 the Harbour Master DLC is a must as it adds some really useful stuff to build/run your port.

If you aren't into economy and management though don't bother. I can't comment on the combat as I've yet to actually fight yet, I just auto-resolve everything.

PoP also does a decent job of making cavalry spam less viable by making them WAAAY more expensive. They don't do too terribly against armies on foot (but still take considerable losses, especially against high-tier archest and infantry), but as soon as they encounter knights of any kind they're fucked. They've already confirmed C# is the scripting language and pointed out this was done to make modding easier. On top of that the map editor is the one they are using, and I'm fairly sure the recording software will be able to be used to make in-engine cutscenes. Also, they basically mentioned that pretty much everything outside the engine source and the core mechanics will be moddable, and even some engine variables will be open to modification.

I just hope it helps attract plenty of modders, and that it triggers the autism of Gekokujo's author again, because he is one of the few modders for Warband that seemed to have any fucking clue about what he was doing.

Yeah, sure, you'll have plenty of that, which is a good thing. You'll have all manner of autists spregging out and making content that other mods can incorporate (or even the end user). Not everyone is a coder or wants to remake the game from scratch, some just want nicer waifus and better textures, or more fluid animations, or to put dicks and assholes on the horses so they can be degenerate filth.

I sincerely doubt it will spell the end of overhauls, since I doubt I'm the only one that didn't give a flying fuck about Caldaria and only ever wanted to play kebab removal and ashiragu bullying. The main draw of M&B is to allow you to engage in feudal hijinks in all manner of historical settings.

I just hope someone over at Loverslab makes a mod that allows me to go around stealing women for my harem.

An interesting thing is that when you compared Skyrim modding to New Vegas modding you notice that while Skyrim has all manner of LARP mods, New Vegas has a shitload of great quest mods.

Hell, two massive "expansions" are nearing completion as we speak, and both Brazil and Frontier feature some incredible features, Frontier even allowing you to drive a tank and pilot a vertibird.

I don't actually play Skyrim for the plot so there's literally no reason I need a total conversion, just changing textures and such and making the Imperials have Imperial Triarii and stuff is enough as a faction conversion.
To me Skyrim total conversions are simply fucking pointless, I don't do the main quest, I don't care about the civil war, I wander the land blowing shit up and starting families and shit.

In terms of main plot? Sure. However there really wasn't enough outside of that main plot or anything after it to really play, which is where bethesda figuratively kicks the mod in the teeth and steals its lunch money.

The problem with expecting overhauls with TES is nobody cares about overhauls for TES, the demand for it is minuscule. Like that other anon said people don't play the game for its plot or even setting really, people play it for the exploration and '''freedom''' it offers and the ability to get shagged by a dog but still blow it up later.
