Real talk /ddg/ I've played through this game twice now, once vanilla and the DA. I played an assassin, and then a MA.

Does it matter in the long run for leveling or can gear REALLY make up for it? I sort of just want to fuck around with classes this time round on a fresh run. Really wanna see if MK is fun or maybe go for a more physical based MA.

I finished the game + 2x BBI on my sorcerer and kinda wanted to try warrior.

They're all normally limited to one save, it was just easier to spoof additional slots on PS3/Xbrick due to their user profile system.

Want another character on PS3? Just make another user profile and log into it instead of your main one and presto, blank slate. Could even make additional PSN's to pair to the additional profiles and hire YOUR own pawn(s). You can sort of do this on Steam but it's much more involved and generally not worth it, particularly since the entire benefit (and then some) is basically replaced by what cheatengine can do.

Where are DD:DA save files located? Everywhere else tells me

But when I get to the 'remote' folder all I have inside is a file named 'data0.dat'.

So I just got the game a few days ago and have been leveling as Fighter/Warrior/Mystic Knight for the augments and skills.

I stacked bastion and fortitude for reduced damage, at level 40 I'm pretty tanky and I kind of want to get some mobility/utility augments now (eating fungi like mad every time I have to climb a cyclops). What are the exact effects of these two augments? The steam augment guide and the wiki say 2 different things, in which case, should I toss out one or both? Are they inconsequential when you get better endgame gear to mitigate more damage?

The numbers might be a little different, but all you need is Bastion. Fortitude is a wasted slot unless you have nothing else.

While they're EXTREMELY effective at early levels they are still definitely not a bad idea late game, as it works as a flat reduction per hit, meaning it's independent of the original damage being dealt, so it's possible multi-hit skills like grabs can be completely negated. That said though fortitude is probably a waste as there are a lot of more useful augments out there. I'd say Bastion should be mandatory on any pawn, though, in my opinion.

Hello hello! Riveria's owner here. I've decided that since I reached level 200 and have essentially every achievement now, this cosplay run has come to a close. Once I finish off the Seneschal one more time, I'll be creating a new, not so anime Arisen/Pawn combo. Anyways, I'm shilling her one more time before tomorrow because it'd be splendid if I could get some RC/Bestiary/Area/Quest entries before my new characters start trundling around Gransys.

Is it worth to slap Awareness and Bastion(reduces magick and physical attack damage) on a Assassin or will they barely make a difference when it comes to surviving?

Bastion yes, Awareness only if you're shit at listening for or generally paying attention when magic is around. If you're paying attention you're still much more likely to get scraped/poked by a random physical attack than you are to miss both the sound of enemy casting AND the red gibberish that appears where enemy spells are targetted. This said, baby's first Ingle is perhaps paradoxically the most threatening enemy magic until you have the Mdef or HP to sponge a bad dodge or snipe from one.

The earlier you equip Bastion the better it is since it will represent a greater defensive benefit proportionate to your available base and equipment defense at the time. As you level up and get stronger/upgraded gear Bastion's effects will represent less and less of your total protection despite having the same fixed value it's always had.

The strong (physically, mentally/willfully, or both) benefit from a compounding effect when working together while the weak remain weak even when there are more of them.

You and your pawns are individually strong and can team up to take down mighty enemies like the Dragon, whereas you could throw 100 Goblins at the same challenge and they'd just get slaughtered.

It's normal, and you'll grow out of it. Remember to loot/hoard everything and check for new gear periodically. Reminder that Rusted weapons suck ass until 3 star enhance and beyond, and then are still only useful as switch-ins for applying Torpor.

Due to being free to basically go anywhere whenever you may run into enemies you're not exactly prepared for, and while you may not like it you should heed the Pawns' advice regarding retreat if things are going tits up.

what's so appealing about playing a MK anyway? it's literally like pressing an "I win" button: has slash and blunt, plus magic to deal with enemies immune to physical dmg,, and shields to avoid all incoming attacks

So, do ghosts/living armor phase 2 only take damage from actual magic spells? Been having a different mage pawn swap out weapon enchants and they all feel like shit against spirits. Weren't magic enchants supposed to wreck the shit out of pure physical damage immune creatures?
